Here's what a trained and experienced cat trapper can accomplish. We're so lucky to have many of them here in the Pacific Northwest!

Motherless kittens found in Herceg Novi.

Is there anyone with a nursing cat or would like to foster one these innocent souls ?

The finder is willing to pay money for someone who helps.

Please get in touch with us here 🙏

🎉 18,000 CATS! 🎉

We’re incredibly proud to announce that 18,000 cats have now been spayed or neutered through the Kotor Kitties programme since our foundation. 🐾

This milestone simply wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support we’ve received over the years.

First and foremost, thank you to every single donor and grant giver who has contributed to helping cats in Kotor and elsewhere in Montenegro. Every donation, large or small, has played a part in getting us to this point.

Particular thanks to -

We also want to give a HUGE thank you to the dedicated people who have trapped and transported cats to our partner vets, and then cared for them while they recovered before returning them to where they belong. We couldn’t do it without you. ❤️

And last, but by absolutely no means least, our wonderful partner vets, whose skill, care and dedication have made all 18,000 of these surgeries possible.

18,000 cats. Thousands upon thousands of unwanted kittens prevented. And a whole lot of people working together to make a difference.

Group hug, everyone! 🤗🐱❤️

Here’s to the next milestone!

Here once again is a simple way to help us fundraise to sterilize the community cats in Montenegro!
When you follow the link in this reel, just type in Kotor Kitties, and our information will pop up! If you don't see your country listed, scroll to the bottom of the list and select "International".

It's that easy to help!

Part of the peaceful colony of "Tunnel Cats", in Herceg Novi. In the spring of 2025 we estimated that there were 50-60 cats living in the area, with only a small number showing ear tips.

Many thanks to the trappers who helped get them all a "snip and tip' so that they could live healthier lives, and the population wouldn't increase through breeding.

Sadly though, new cats show up because of abandonment or because they've gotten lost.

Many thank for the generous donations given through Wise! Sadly, we didn't receive an email or address to allow us to thank these donors properly:

Ruben Carlo N. Mark C. (Switzerland)
Emma H (Australia) Silvia F. (Italy)
Joao MIiguel N.F. Frederic Michel D.

Thanks also to Viyaletta H. for the cute videos of the Herceg Novi "tunnel cats", the dog who mooches their food, and the newcomer who needs a snip and tip!

Last Monday was World Rabies Day, 2026. How much do you know about rabies, the prevention of rabies, and how spay-neuter ties into prevention of rabies as an "upstream" intervention?

Rabies is again on the rise in the United States!

As the CDC reports a nationwide surge in rabies exposures, United Spay Alliance declares “No Babies. No Rabies.” and puts spay and neuter on the front lines of the fight to end a disease that still kills 59,000 people a year
