A Grateful Beginning for LiVE
Thank you to everyone who joined our first Zoom gathering of the season! As we begin exploring “Called to Be Human,” we’re grateful for the opportunity to grow in faith together and consider how our discipleship takes shape in everyday life.
Our first LiVE Zoom gathering began with the foundations of learning in community. We explored our learning network, reviewed community guidelines, and discussed ways to participate, preparing to listen, share, and grow in faith together.
In the coming weeks, we’ll engage the ELCA’s “Faith and Civic Life: Seeking the Well-Being of All” alongside contributors to the statement. Together, we’ll explore questions of belonging, whose voices count, the use of power, and our calling as Christians in public life. Through learning, reflection, and conversation, we’ll consider how these questions meet us in our own neighborhoods and congregations, and how our faith calls us to seek the well-being of all.
As we prepare for our next gathering, we invite you to notice where these questions arise in everyday life. Bring your experiences, your curiosity, and an openness to what we might learn from one another.
Gratitude to Bishop Shelley for joining us and inspiring us, David for leading and facilitating, and Antonietta for supporting our learning platform.
We’ll gather again Wednesday, October 7th at 7PM on Zoom
