derstanding and practicing Taoist tradition, as well as those drawn to movement and/or meditation to improve mental health and clarity, physical well-being, poise, balance, and/or martial skill. Instruction draws from the Chen-style Xinyi Hunyuan Taijiquan system 陳式心意混元太極拳, set apart from other systems by its emphasis on nourishing the body and the use of mind-intent. All classes in the Hunyuan Taiji system support each other, integrating the body and quieting the mind to foster overall health and longevity. Master Zhicheng, founder of TSI, has been practicing and teaching Taoist cultivation and internal martial arts for over 50 years. He is 21st generation Longmen Taoist priest, 19th-Generation Chen-style Taiji Master, and 2nd-Generation Hunyuan Taiji Master. He is a formal disciple of Chen-style Xinyi Hunyuan Taijiquan founder Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang.
As a teacher, Master Zhicheng has extraordinary skill in transmitting the subtleties of internal martial arts, and of the Tao. Many students over the years have gone through life changing experiences under his tutelage.
