It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share that our friend and colleague, John Jones, passed away earlier this year. He lived the PNA mission daily in everything he did and was the ultimate connector. He was an integral part of cultivating beloved events like PNA's Rainbow Hop and Friendsgiving Feast, creating an enduring legacy here at the Phinney Neighborhood Association and in the broader community.

In the coming days, weeks, and months we will be sharing ways to celebrate and remember John, and invite you to help us celebrate John's life and legacy in ways that feel meaningful to you.

The 13th Annual Rainbow Hop is here—mark your calendars.

Join us Saturday, June 6 from 9:30am–1:00pm as PhinneyWood comes together for a Pride celebration rooted in connection, inclusivity, and belonging. This free, family-friendly, multi-generational event invites you to show up as you are and celebrate what makes our community vibrant.

Start the day with a free anti-bullying play at Taproot Theatre, then follow the Rainbow Hop route along Greenwood Ave (67th–87th), stopping into local businesses for crafts, activities, music, and performances. Collect stamps along the way—six gets you free tickets to the Woodland Park Zoo.

Along the route and beyond, don’t miss Drag Queen Storytime at the Greenwood Library, a Pride parade at the Greenwood Senior Center, and an all-ages dance party at the PNA Blue Building.

Put on your brightest Pride gear, bring your people, and be part of a day that celebrates being seen, heard, and valued.

Summer at the Phinney Farmers Market isn’t just something you shop—it’s something you hear.

As the market returns June 5 (3–7 pm), applications are now open for local musicians to perform throughout the season. This is your chance to play for your neighbors, connect with the community, and help shape the sound of summer in PhinneyWood.

From familiar faces to first-time visitors, the market is a place where people come together—and music is at the heart of it.
