The Babka King is coming to Phoenix! 👑

We’re excited to announce that viral food creator and cultural bridgebuilder Chris Caresnone, better known as “The Babka King,” is the featured speaker at Lighting the Spark: CJP’s 2026 Community Celebration on November 18!

Chris has built a huge social media following through his high-energy, hilarious and heartfelt exploration of Jewish food and culture—from babka and rugelach to the stories and traditions behind them. Along the way, he’s turned food into a way to bring people together, celebrate Jewish culture and build connections across communities.

Come hear his story, celebrate some incredible people in our Greater Phoenix Jewish community, connect with friends—and yes, there will be babka.

Israel is calling 🇮🇱✨

Join Center for Jewish Philanthropy of Greater Phoenix and Birthright Israel for a powerful 8 days on the ground in Israel—an unforgettable volunteer journey rooted in purpose, connection, and giving back.

This trip is specifically for Phoenix-area professionals ages 24–50, giving you the opportunity to experience Israel alongside people from your own community. You won’t just travel together—you’ll build relationships and return home as a cohort with shared experiences and deeper connections to one another and to Jewish life in Greater Phoenix.

Volunteer alongside local communities, experience Israel through a whole new lens, and be part of a meaningful journey with peers from right here in the Valley.

✈️ This highly subsidized adult trip includes flights, hotels, breakfasts, Shabbat meals, transportation, and all daytime activities.

Space is extremely limited, and we expect this opportunity to fill quickly.

Experience Israel. Make an impact. Build community—there and back home.

As we welcome a new year, we’re especially grateful for the people who step up and help create a stronger, more connected Jewish community.

To everyone who leads — through NowGen, another young adult organization, or simply by being the person who reaches out, brings people together, and helps others feel like they belong — thank you. Our community is stronger because of you.

May this be a year of leading with intention, building meaningful relationships, and making room for others to lead alongside us.

Earlier this week, members of our Ben Gurion Society gathered for an inspiring evening of connection, philanthropy, and conversation about the future of Jewish Phoenix.

A huge thank you to Steven and Ellen Weiss for generously opening their beautiful home and hosting us, and to David Weiner for moderating such a thoughtful and engaging conversation.

The Ben Gurion Society brings together Jewish professionals ages 21–45 who are making an impact through philanthropy and helping shape the future of our community.

Curious about what it means to give at this level and be part of this growing group of young philanthropists? Send us a message to learn more.
