BBYO Mountain Region reaches Jewish teens across Arizona, Nevada and Utah.

BBYO is the leading pluralistic teen movement aspiring to involve more Jewish teens in more meaningful Jewish experiences. For more than 80 years, BBYO has provided exceptional identity enrichment and leadership development experiences for hundreds of thousands of Jewish teens. In 60 communities across North America, Jewish teens connect with one another, volunteer in the community, celebrate their Jewish heritage, prepare for leadership roles, and travel the world together, all within a Jewish context. The power of the experience is proven through BBYO’s 250,000 alumni, who are among the most prominent figures in business, politics, academia, the arts, and Jewish communal life. Many claim it is BBYO to which they “owe it all,” and research shows that BBYO participation leads to powerful Jewish connections, attitudes and practices later in life.

What a great week back we had at BBYO! Regional board spent Shabbat together (generously hosted by the Feinberg Family!) and were hard at work planning an amazing year ahead. Our chapter boards across all 3 states gathered to work on their calendars, plan engaging programs and get to know each other. Thank you to Tucson JCC and Temple Kol Ami for hosting our chapters this past week! We are so grateful for all of our partners in Mountain Region. See everyone at our 4 kickoff events this Sunday!!! If you have a teen in Tucson, Phoenix, Las Vegas or Salt Lake City, let’s connect! Shabbat Shalom

What a week BBYO Mountain had! Our Regional Shlichim, Sonia Rosenberg and Jaren Davidson had the opportunity to interview 2 soldiers who flew in from Israel in partnership with The Jewish Agency for Israel and Center for Jewish Philanthropy of Greater Phoenix about their experiences serving in the army, and their personal reflections after October 7th. It was a powerful Yom Hazikaron event.
Days later, we are so proud to share BBYO had 5 teen leaders awarded at the Valley of The Sun J Israel @ 78 event! Mazal tov to Aleyna Lange (Frankfurter BBYO) Alyssa Levin (Shapiro BBG) Jaren Davidson (Salk AZA) Mason Zinman (Kennedy AZA) and Mia Kirschenbaum (Frankfurter BBYO) on this achievement! The Teen Torch Lighter Award celebrates local leaders committed to Israel by promoting education, unity, and hope within our community.
