Scarborough Land Trust (SLT) conserves land for people, for wildlife – forever.

We are a private, non-profit, community-based organization committed to conserving land where natural resources, scenic vistas and historical significance offer unique value to our community. At 50 square miles, Scarborough is one of the largest towns in southern Maine, and one of the fastest-growing in the state. SLT recently acquired another 25 acres of ecologically rich, undeveloped forested land adjacent to Pleasant Hill Preserve! 🌲

This special property includes mature forest, wetlands, vernal pools, and headwaters that support the health of the Spurwink Marsh and the wildlife that depend on it.

Thanks to the vision of the Finley family and support from our community, this land will be protected forever and open for people to explore and enjoy.
