This evening, Scarborough companies had the privilege to line Maine Turnpike overpasses to honor a fallen soldier being brought home.

United States Army Corporal Oscar L. Sprague, of Milbridge, ME, was recently accounted for by the DPAA as a part of a process with new technology planned in 2018 to identify the remains of more than 600 unidentified soldiers.

Sprague served in the Korean War and was a member of Company H, 2nd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was reported missing on September 3, 1950.

Milbridge, Maine is a fellow coastal US Route 1 town approximately 170 miles from Scarborough.
