Good Morning, this is Mary Morris, Brett J Morris surviving spouse. I wanted to reach out to see if you would be so kind as to help promote our upcoming 5th Annual Mental Health Awareness 5K within the NS Community. This event is an event in which we are honoring the lives of these fallen night stalkers. While they were not killed in combat they each suffered silent wounds that eventually took their life. This event is here locally and I would love to see more of our local NS in support and attendance as we honor these brave men of the 160th and spread awareness of the battles these men face.

Sergeant Michael G. Bielamowicz
19 December 1983 – 11 July 2009

Sergeant Bielamowicz was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia, as an CBRN NCO. In 2005, SGT Bielamowicz completed two deployments in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, and in 2007 he completed a deployment in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM

Another update on the Shadow Reunion taking place in October. The reunion will take place on Friday, 23 October. At 10 in the morning, the Battalion will hold its Memorial Flyover in front of Battalion. After this, all Shadows are invited up to the hangar for a tour and luncheon. That evening at 6:00 pm, we will all meet at Coach’s Corner on Victory Dr. The cost for the meet and greet at Coach's will be $25.00. We will provide links later for those who would like to RSVP for any or all the events.

For those interested, the NSA Savannah Chapter will hold a golf tournament on Thursday 22 Oct (more info to follow) and if interested a Battalion Formal on Saturday 24 October starting at 5:00 pm at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront. We are working up the cost for the golf tournament and the Battalion Formal and this will be posted soon. The NSA Savannah Chapter will also be hosting a Clay Shoot/Tournament on Wednesday, 21 October 2026 at the 17 South Rod and Gun Club. Info for all the events will be posted soon. Please share this message with everyone you know who may not have Facebook or who may not be on this page.

The Shadow Company asked that I reach out to see if anyone has pictures from their time in the Shadow Company and/or the Battalion. They are wanting to put together a slide show at the Reunion Meet and Greet on 23 October. 3/160th SOAR(Abn) will hold a Remembrance Ceremony on June 1st, 2026 to honor the Crew of Aircraft 729. The Ceremony will take place starting at 9:00 a.m. in front of the Battalion Headquarters.
