On Friday, November 27, Blessingdales is saying thank you to the educators who serve our community with FREE classroom supplies: pencils, crayons, notebooks, paper, glue and more!

Your questions, answered 💬🌿

We hear these a lot, so we sat down to answer four of the most common ones:

1️⃣ What's your success rate? Success looks different for every woman. When she arrives, we ask for her "why": the thing that will keep her going when transformation gets hard. A new job, a GED, a new place to live, or just learning to think differently all count as success.

2️⃣ How is the Vine connected to Blessingdales? Blessingdales supports The Living Vine. Every dollar from your donations there goes straight to covering our operating costs.

3️⃣ How long can residents stay? The Living Vine is a program, not a shelter. A woman can stay for up to two years as long as she's actively taking part. Our donors cover her housing, food, transportation and clothing, so she can focus on healing and spiritual formation.

4️⃣ What if a mom doesn't want to parent? Whether to parent or make an adoption plan is entirely her choice. We stay out of that decision, but we partner with licensed adoption agencies so she can talk it through with a specialist.

We need your help! 🌿

There's a lot happening at Blessingdales, The Living Vine Thrift Stores. Donations are coming in, racks need filling, and projects keep appearing at both of our locations, Georgetown and Abercorn.

We'd love help from:
✨ Small groups
✨ Community service projects
✨ Individuals ready to serve

Sorting, organizing, setting up displays, and keeping the store running all support the mission of The Living Vine and the moms and babies we serve.

Come for a few hours or make it part of your regular routine.

Where mothers in need find preparation. 🌿
At The Living Vine, a safe place to live is just the beginning. Each mom also gets the tools, knowledge and confidence to build a stable future for herself and her baby.
Our residents take part in classes that cover:
🌿Medical: prenatal care, labor and delivery, and caring for a newborn
🌿Financial literacy: budgeting, saving and managing money with confidence
🌿Personal development: setting goals, building healthy habits and growing in self-worth and self-awareness
🌿Life skills: cooking, keeping a home and the everyday skills of independent living
🌿Community resources: knowing where to turn for support long after she leaves our doors
She doesn’t just learn these skills. She gets to practice them every day in a safe place that balances accountability and support!
