Congratulations, Tim!

We are proud to recognize Tim Cornish, Educational Program Specialist at Oatland Island Wildlife Center, for his outstanding leadership in science education.
Tim works to connect meaningful, hands-on science experiences with classroom learning for students across the Savannah-Chatham School System. His impact extends beyond Oatland, supporting educators and students in more than 60 schools from PreK through 12th grade.
One of Tim’s most notable contributions has been leading the redesign of Oatland’s 5th-grade field trip experience. By intentionally aligning activities with life science standards for Georgia Standards of Excellence, he has transformed a traditional field trip into an authentic learning opportunity where students can apply classroom concepts in real-world settings.
Through innovative outreach programs, strong collaboration with educators, and a commitment to high-quality science instruction, Tim continues to strengthen science learning opportunities for students and teachers throughout the district.
Thank you, Tim, for inspiring curiosity, building connections, and advancing science education across Georgia!
