During the reorganization and addition of new board members a social media review revealed that the Instagram and X (Twitter) accounts had been password compromised. New accounts have been established for each.

There are big changes taking place at First City Network! Since the terms were up for Gerry Nelms as Chairman and Nick Fossett as Treasurer new board members were voted in at the March board meeting, resulting in a restructuring of the board. Most importantly the position and responsibilites of Chairman are being replaced by two co-chairs. This change will be reflected in amendments to the bylaws. The breakdown of the new board follows.
Co-Chair: Roger Smith

Co-Chair: Sharon Poindexter

Treasurer: Jeff Martin

Secretary: Kris Bazargan-Forward

We admit it – for the past 8 months or so FCN has been MIA
We’ve gone through some trying times since mid 2025 due to an ever changing board, lack of volunteers and almost non-existant outreach to Savannah’s LGBTQ+ community. We need to do better – a LOT better. Certain board change-ups have also negatively affected our membership and donations system. HOWEVER we have recently launched a whole new application for membership experience.

We appreciate your patience while we reorganize and become a better FCN for the local LGBTQ+ community. If you have any questions or suggestions please email our board secretary or attend our next board meeting.
