🗣️“We don’t want to tear down Yamacraw. But since we feel like we’re being forced into it, we want to be able to get this stuff in writing.” - Alexis Lampkin, President of the Yamacraw Village Resident Council

At this point, HAS is fully aware that “in writing” means legally enforceable, so let’s please stop hiding behind the semantics of “there’s a written Relocation Plan” to sow confusion. It’s currently in a draft version with negotiations stalled, and even if finalized, it still won’t be legally enforceable by residents unless made so.

🌸 Spring has (almost) sprung, and what better way to celebrate than with the Yamacraw Village Resident Council and supporters in the North Garden at ?

Come on out this Sunday, March 22nd at 1 pm to soak up poetry, music, sunshine, and see historic elements from the Municipal Archives and photographer and the Yamacraw Archive.

Then stick around for the walking tour at 3/3:15 of Yamacraw Square and Village given by with !

Volunteers Needed for Christmas in Yamacraw Square! 🎄☃️🍿🍭

This Saturday, December 6th, the Yamacraw Village Resident Council is hosting a Candy Land Kids Zone from 3 to 5pm, followed by an event sponsored by First Bryan Baptist Church from 5 to 6pm.

We need volunteers to help with:

🌟 Running stations

🌟 Minding/wrangling children 🤠

🌟 Clean-up: trash cans and trash bags
