📣 This Week at the Kiwanis Club of Skidaway Island

Last Thursday, we were honored to welcome Ben Hart, President and General Manager of WJCL, who shared an engaging presentation on the evolving world of local broadcasting. Ben discussed the challenges and opportunities facing today’s media landscape, while emphasizing the importance of trusted local journalism and community engagement. ➡️ Looking Ahead

This Thursday, we are pleased to welcome Savannah Mayor Van Johnson as our guest speaker.

As Savannah’s 67th Mayor, he has dedicated decades of service to our community, first as Alderman for the First District and now as the city’s chief elected official since 2020.

In addition to his leadership at City Hall, Mayor Johnson has long been a champion for young people and families through his work with youth development programs, nonprofit organizations, and civic leadership initiatives throughout the region.

We look forward to hearing his insights and learning more about the issues, successes, and opportunities shaping Savannah today.
