What is Ukraine fighting for? What in the modern world can make people leave their careers, go to war, and give their lives for the sake of others? How do the meanings embedded in ancient songs come to life and change the fate of a nation?
The modern Opera-Myth "Ukraine - Terra Incognita" tells about the Ukraine you never knew. Ancient ritual songs, unique Ukrainian polyphony, free jazz, video art, new symphonic music, modern choreography, futuristic folk costumes - all this in an opera like no other. Opera-Myth is dedicated to the soloist of the Paris Opera, Ukrainian Wassyl Slipak, who died defending freedom. The opera is also dedicated to hundreds of artists and thousands of men and women who are now defending Ukraine.
🎥We present the trailer of the TV-version of our opera, which will soon be available to watch in many different countries. Now, in the face of the threat of destruction, it is important for Ukrainians to preserve their culture and tell the world about it. За що воює Україна? Що може в сучасному світі змусити людей залишати кар'єру, йти на війну і віддавати своє життя заради того, щоб жили інші? Як смисли, закладені у давніх піснях, оживають і змінюють долю народу?
Сучасна Опера-Міф "Ukraine — Terra Incognita" розповідає про Україну, якої ви не знали. Давні ритуальні пісні, унікальна українська поліфонія, фрі-джаз, відео-арт, нова симфонічна музика, сучасна хореографія, футурофолкові костюми — все це в опері нового формату. Опера-Міф присвячена солісту Паризької опери українцю Василеві Сліпаку, який загинув, захищаючи свободу. Також опера присвячена сотням митців і тисячам чоловіків та жінок, котрі зараз захищають Україну.
