A Message from Kelly Medrano
Dear Chamber Members, Community, City of Saratoga, and Friends.
After 8 years and 8 months, my time with the Chamber of Commerce has come to an end. It’s hard to put into words what these years have meant to me because, for me, this was never just a job. It was about people, businesses, relationships, and being part of a community that has come to mean so much to me.
For nearly nine years, I had the privilege of wearing many hats at the SCoC and being behind much of the day-to-day work that kept things moving. I also managed the city’s Visitor Center, welcoming visitors and helping them discover Saratoga's wonderful restaurants and places to visit. There was always something happening, something to take care of, someone to help, or a new connection to make. Every day was a little different, and looking back, I’m grateful for all of it.
But what I will remember most isn’t the busy days, the events, or everything that went on behind the scenes. It’s you. It’s the friendships, the conversations across the desk, the familiar faces walking through the door, the laughter, and the kindness you showed me along the way. Thank you for trusting me, supporting me, and sharing your news with me.
And, of course, I can’t forget to mention my beloved Chamber Champs! To all the community members who brought your four-legged family members by to say hello, thank you for making them part of my days, too. Those visits were always a highlight, and I loved seeing those familiar furry faces come through the door, tails wagging and ready for their treats. I am going to miss those visits and my little furry friends more than you know! Please give them an extra hug from me.
Over the years, chamber members and the Saratoga community have given me so many memories and friendships that I will always treasure. I’ve celebrated your successes, shared in your excitement, listened to your stories, and watched so many wonderful things happen throughout the business community. It has been a privilege to be a small part of it all.
As I close this chapter, my heart is full of gratitude. If I’ve learned anything during my time here, it’s that Saratoga isn’t just made up of businesses, restaurants, or events. It’s made up of people who showed up when I needed them. I’ll never forget the time Mayor Page helped me wash the chamber windows, how the amazing council members volunteered at many events when I reached out, and how the city manager and her team provided support when they knew I was up to my ears in event tasks. I also want to thank the Public Works Department and all the staff in this department, who were always ready to answer questions, provide guidance during the largest event the chamber hosts, and offer support. I also want to thank all the chamber presidents and the handful of board members who were with me through the trenches and some of the best times over the years. There were sweat and tears, along with the memories we shared.
I look forward to seeing all of you around town, catching up, sharing a smile, and staying part of the community.
Please know that the friendships I’ve made and the memories we’ve shared will always hold a special place in my heart.
Warmly,
Kelly Medrano
