Fun memories . . .
Our IW Club of Saratoga had the pleasure of guest Sunita Nagar, IW Club of Indore Central, India, joining us to share international fellowship and a Flag Exchange Ceremony at our Luncheon/Meeting on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
For our 41st Birthday we enjoyed a ‘Shovunda’ party with fun, interesting presents, and shared ‘how to play’ with Sunita, with wonderful fellowship and fun enjoyed by all.

At the Nov 15th Saratoga Innerwheel meeting, we had an another very interesting program with special guests and speakers- Dr. Anh-Quan Nguyen and Miss Florence Hu from the Saratoga High School Robotics Club. They brought in examples of their low cost hands an arms for adults and children that they send to other countries. They also mentor other clubs locally and worldwide. We had 22 guests in attendance and a wonderful lunch spread enjoyed by all at our president Janice Lefevre's residence.

At the Sep 20th Innerwheel Saratoga meeting, we had an an inspiring program with special guests Karen Fredericks and her son Quinn Bossow. Quinn, a Saratoga H.S. Junior, is an above-the-knee amputee since infancy and shared his experience growing up with his prosthetic limb; Karen shared her family’s experience raising Quinn, and accessing needed resources including their many challenges and successes
We continue to collect 'gently used' clothing donations along with your paper/plastic bags and clean egg cartons for the West Valley 'Clothes Closet' and Food Truck.

We had a wonderful group of 18 members attend our Luncheon/Meeting Saturday for our wrap-up' May meeting. Everyone always enjoys socializing around lunch, and especially meeting our 6 delightful guests, whom we met at the Saratoga Art Show.
Thank you to Kathie Benko, Karen Bertrand, Jody Bolanos, Florence Janjigian, Lydia Norcia, and Phyllis Ragazzo for sharing their delicious salads with us. Thank you, thank you!
Also joining us, Susan Stennan, a aprosthetist at Prosthetics Soluntions, who heard about IW from her 16 yr. old client and mother that we met at the Art Show . . . all of whom will join us in September for our program. We had 2 wonderful ladies join us as new members . . . Yvette Carpenter and Nancy Woodard! Hooray!
Thank you, thank you to members & guests, for sharing your many, many 'beautiful flowers' for our May Baskets, we were so very appreciative of your wonderful generosity.

We have been very busy the last few weeks!
1. We donated 60 books created by an IW member for 1st graders learning to read to the Title 1 Latimer School in San Jose. Litmer Principal Hilary Gill happily accepted the books. Other Title 1 schools are welcome to contact Saratoga IW to obtain books.

2. Members Vidya Belkhale and Karen Roberts filled their SUVs with packages and boxes of diapers to deliver to Sacred Heart Community Center. This is Saratoga IW members and friends’ 6th year of contributing $1,500 worth of diapers since the Center expressed their ongoing need for diapers . . . we’re happy to help.

3. Saratoga collected and donated many new and gently used clothing to West Valley Community College’s ‘Clothes Closet’ for students needing clothes for interviews and work.

A wonderful Thanks-for-giving celebration was hosted by Jan Lefvre last Sunday. Thank you Jan and thank you to everyone for your generous donations, we have a wonderful selection of diapers to donate to Sacred Heart. They will be delivered the first week in December.

The Saratoga IW Luncheon was on Saturday April 20, 2024. We were delighted to have an interesting program, speaker Nancy Harper shared the wonderful work done by 'Park it Food Truck' as part of West Valley Community Services. We collected clean empty egg cartons and plastic and paper bags for use in the Food Trucks that serve many elderly and handicapped clients unable to get to Food Bank.

Congratulations to us . . . Our '100 Centennial Project' collected 200+ warm socks, including a few for babies and children, plus, a few more socks are still coming.
This is a very busy time and we are very appreciative of the members that were able to join us for photos, soup, rolls, and petits fours, thank you.
We are looking to donate the socks to Martha's Kitchen for their clients, (we donated lots of warm clothing last year) and a several other places including Hope's Corner. If anyone has other suggestions, please let us know.
