It’s hard to believe we’re already heading into the final weekend! Before the curtain falls on Once Upon a Mattress, here are five final fun facts celebrating this timeless musical—and the community that brought it to life. (And yes, we realize it's Thursday, not Friday. We're doing our fun facts one day earlier to remind you about our Thrifty Thursday performance TONIGHT.)

No two performances of a live musical are ever exactly alike. A laugh that lasts a little longer, a spontaneous burst of applause, or a touching moment of silence subtly shapes the rhythm of every show, making each audience part of the storytelling.

Actors may take the bows, but every performance also reflects the work of musicians, designers, technicians, builders, costumers, painters, stage managers, ushers, front-of-house volunteers, and so many others who work together to create the magic of live theatre.
