Summit League will host its biennial fundraiser, A Day in the Garden with Friends, in conversation with celebrity chef and entrepreneur, Tyler Florence, to benefit Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen, Wednesday, May 28th, at Montalvo Arts Center. This event is sold out. Proceeds from this event will contribute to enhancing Loaves & Fishes fleet of essential meal distribution trucks designed to deliver food directly to families, seniors and to those that require special medically prescribed meals. In addition, these trucks are equipped to collect excess commercially catered food to help eliminate food waste and provide critical sustenance support in case of disaster emergencies.
Monies raised will also benefit Summit League’s Community Giving Fund, meeting both urgent and unexpected needs and investing in smaller-scale nonprofit programs, projects and capital improvements throughout the Santa Clara County community. Thus far, in 2025 alone, Summit League has funded requests to the Humane Society, Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley, Cristo Rey San José Jesuit High School, NUMU and the Salvation Army.
For more than 60 years, Summit League has supported over 90 arts, education, health and welfare non-profit organizations serving Santa Clara County with more than $2 million in financial support and countless volunteer hours.
