Today, I want to take a moment to publicly thank three incredible women who have been the hands and feet of Jesus at Prodigal Daughters—Mrs. ROSETTA HOCHSTETLER, TARA WHITE, AND MAYA WHITE.
One of the most crucial needs we have at Prodigal is helping women who arrive with their children as they begin adjusting to a completely new season of life. Those first days can be overwhelming. Learning a new schedule, caring for multiple children, attending classes, and navigating the emotions that come with change can feel like a lot to carry.
That is where these amazing women have stepped in time and time again.
This morning, I opened the door and there stood Mrs. Rosetta, ready to serve for the day. What a blessing that was—and right on time. Her faithful presence brought encouragement and support exactly when it was needed most.
Then last night, I stopped by and found Tara and Maya holding babies, loving on children, and supporting a young mother as she navigated dinner time, baths, and the challenges of caring for her family while adjusting to life at Prodigal. What may seem like a simple act of service to some is truly life-changing to us and to the women we serve.
Because of their willingness to step in, our residents received the support they needed, our staff and ladies were able to continue with their daily activities, and one young mother was reminded that she is not alone.
When God calls us to be the hands and feet of Jesus, this is exactly what He means. Ministry is often found in the small, quiet moments—holding a baby, helping with bath time, offering encouragement, and simply showing up.
"Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." — 1 John 3:18
From all of us at Prodigal Daughters, thank you, Rosetta, Tara, and Maya, for saying "yes." Thank you for your servant hearts, your compassion, and your willingness to walk alongside these women and their children. The support you provide makes a tremendous difference, and we are deeply grateful.
When a woman comes through our doors and sees that kind of love and support surrounding her, it changes everything.
Thank you for being part of the incredible journey of restoration that God is writing in the lives of these women and their children.
