Meet Finn (left) and Boy (uh-huh). Both are about 6 months-old. Finn coded after his neuter surgery, which left him visually challenged. Animal Friends Connection has been taking care of Finn until we had room here. We now have room. Boy was thrown from a car (seriously?) and rescued by Susan. Boy is blind and (almost) deaf and suffers from seizures (he’s currently on anti-seizure meds). Boy arrived here over the weekend. Finn’s coming in today at about 1 pm.

You can watch Finn’s arrival on our Kitten Room we**am at https://www.youtube.com//streams.

Thank you, Animal Friends Connection and Susan, for taking care of Finn and Boy and getting them here to SNAP Cats!

BLACK CATS FRIDAY!

Jersey and Onyx are 1 year 2 months-old and sponsored by Alice Weigel. SNAP Cats rescued Jersey and Onyx from Fresno, CA. Look who joined The 60% Club! That’s right, both Jersey and Onyx (siblings) came to SNAP Cats FeLV+ in April. But since they were so active and healthy, we tested them again and they tested negative! So they’re out and about in our general population.

For those who don’t know, 60% of adult cats with FeLV can naturally shed the virus, and stay virus-free for the rest of their lives. Jersey and Onxy make numbers 10 and 11 cats (out of 18) that’ve naturally shed the virus here. Congrats, kids!

If you’re looking for two of the sweetest cats ever! Cats who will welcome you into the room, constantly follow you around meowing for attention, pets and love, Jersey and Onyx are the kitties for you!

Since these siblings are bonded we’d like to see them adopted together.

If you’re interested in Jersey and Onyx please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.

Berry (left) and Tanya are coming in today at about 1 pm. Berry’s about 16 years-old. His dad recently passed away and no family members could take Berry so we said bring him in! Tanya’s 19 years old and is a purebred Savannah whose dad just went into hospice care and, again, no family members could take her. Say it with us: Bring her in!!!

Thank you, Nicole and Linda (respectively), for bringing Berry and Tanya to SNAP Cats!

TWO FOR… WEDNESDAY?

Well, we wanted to post this yesterday but we weren’t sure we’d get Pumpkin into a carrier to join Zoe in their (hopefully) new home. If you were watching our YouTube Kitten Room we**am yesterday afternoon you saw how difficult it can be to get a cat into a carrier that doesn’t want to get into a carrier. But the humans won. Please note: No human or cat was injured in the process.

So. Pumpkin and Zoe went into Foster-to-Adopt yesterday with Mary Jane and her family. Hopefully the kitties will love their new home and enjoy all the attention they’ll get being the only kitties in the house.

Thank you, May Jane and family, for (hopefully) giving Pumpkin and Zoe a wonderful, new, loving home!

TWO FOR TUESDAY!

Isa and Sage are 3 years 6 months-old and sponsored by Stefanie Kraus. SNAP Cats rescued Isa and Sage from Fresno, CA. These siblings are very sweet, affectionate kitties. They love attention, and will follow you around meowing for pets and rubs. Their ataxia is mild+. Their back ends sway side-to-side a bit when they walk/run. But Isa and Sage don’t fall or need any kind of assistance to get where they’re going, including atop cat tress, shelves and counters. Isa and Sage will make a wonderful addition to anyone looking for extremely affectionate, loving kitties!

Although we’d love to see Isa and Sage adopted together, they’re not bonded. So they can be adopted separately. But please adopt them together!

If you’re interested in Isa and Sage please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.

BLACK CAT FRIDAY!

Raven is 2 years 11 months-old and sponsored by Christine and Anthony Durso. SNAP Cats rescued Raven from Long Beach, CA. Raven is an extremely vocal cat, who's full of energy and loves to play. Her ataxia doesn’t stop her from doing anything! Raven loves attention and wet food treats. She gets along well with the other kitties here, so Raven will make a wonderful addition to a home with cats.

Please Note: Raven doesn't always use the box here. That could change in a new home with less cats. But we can't guarantee it.

If you’re interested in Raven please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.

This is Kitty (nah, she’s had her name her whole life). She’s 15 years-old and missing her rear leg due to an accident 12 years ago. Kitty’s mom passed away, and no one could take her, so the family reached out to us…

And the rest is history.

Kitty’s coming in this Saturday and will be joining our resident seniors in our senior room and senior catio.

Thank you, Heidi, for taking care of Kitty until you could bring her here!

WHITE-ISH CAT WEDNESDAY

This is Tum Tum (you betcha!). She’s about 5 months old and ataxic. Little sketchy on how she ended up at the San Jose Shelter, but she was in desperate need of rescue, so we, of course, said sure.

Not exactly sure when she’ll be arriving here, but we figured it’s White Cat Wednesday, so what the hell, why not feature her.

Here is a video of her: https://youtu.be/Fk6UHubznrI?si=mE397MtyGhEnnQcj

This little cutie is Sampson. He’s about 13 weeks-old and has moderate-to-severe pectus excavatum (sunken breastbone). Sampson was found as a stray in San Francisco, and surrendered to SF ACC, who emailed us…

And the rest is history.

Sampson will be arriving today at about 2 pm. You can watch Sampson’s arrival on our Kitten Room YouTube We**am at https://www.youtube.com//streams.

Thank you to the staff at SF ACC for taking care of Sampson and getting him here to SNAP Cats!
