We are seeking passionate local neighborhood leaders from the 95407 area to join our team. Your connection to and knowledge of the community are essential to help us address heat-related illness and other challenges affecting our neighbors.

Heat-related illnesses are increasingly concerning for families, especially parents and children in our community. These risks disproportionately affect neighborhoods with limited access to safe cooling spaces and resources. As a community leader, your voice is essential in addressing local needs and shaping effective solutions. Your participation ensures that our community's voice is heard in decision-making, fostering a stronger, healthier, and more resilient future.

What You’ll Do:
-Participate in decision-making meetings
-Share your community’s priorities and concerns
-Collaborate with local organizations and leaders
-Help build a stronger, safer CRC for everyone

Last Friday we celebrated the groundbreaking of CPI’s new Community Cooling Center—a major milestone in creating a safer, healthier, and more resilient future for our community.

This special moment recognized the many partners, community leaders, funders, and project team members whose dedication, collaboration, and hard work helped bring this vision to life. Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this historic milestone
including Santa Rosa Community Health, City of Santa Rosa Emergency Preparedness, AAA Energy systems, Health Equity Rising, California's Governor's Office of Planning and Research. Sonoma County, Supervisor Chris Coursey, California Strategic Growth Council, State Assemblymember Chris Rogers Office, Community Foundation of Sonoma County, Sonoma County Human Services Department, Gov. Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation, and Persingers Architects.

We’re excited for what’s ahead and for the lasting impact this Community Cooling Center will have for years to come!

Something new is coming to CPI! Join us to learn about what is coming to the neighborhood.

Information and Listening Session
Tuesday, April 28th
6:00 - 7:00pm
3642 Standish Ave, Santa Rosa, CA

-At this event we will talk about:
What a Community Resilience Center is.
-What a Cooling Center is.
-Extreme heat and emergency preparedness.
-Services for families and children.
-Upcoming Leadership Academy to become leaders in your neighborhood

We will also hold a listening session to hear from you and gather community feedback. Raffles, food, and drinks will be provided. If you need childcare, please let us know so we can make arrangements.

Come learn, share your ideas, and help us build a center that supports our community.
