The LA Throwback Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity that hosts the LA Throwback Beach Ultimate Fest, an annual beach ultimate tournament on Santa Monica Beach. We use the funds to promote the playing and teaching of ultimate (with an emphasis on beach ultimate) and the civic engagement of our community. We want to support young players to become organizers and leaders in our sport and we wan

t to help change the demographics of our sport to reflect the larger communities in which we live. Registration is now open for the 2022 LA Throwback Beach Ultimate Fest, to be held on MLK weekend, Jan 15-16, 2022 in Santa Monica, CA! This year, in addition to the traditional 5x5 Mixed divisions, we're also offering a Masters Mixed (women 30 and up, men 33 and up) and a Grandmasters Mixed division (women 37 and up, men 40 and up). And new to Throwback this year: 4v4 mixed, open, and women’s divisions! Lined fields for all levels, all divisions, all games.

🏖️ LA Throwback Beach Ultimate Fest 2027 - Registration now open! 🌊 🥏 🪩

We’re delighted to welcome you all to Santa Monica for another edition of the LA Throwback Beach Ultimate Fest!

Registration is now officially open for teams, players and free agents on our Ultimate Central Registration Page.

January 16th-17th, 2027 | Santa Monica Beach (North of the Pier)

🌴 Back in Santa Monica
Play on the gorgeous sands of Santa Monica Beach, just steps from the Santa Monica Pier. The tournament site is within walking distance of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and plenty of things to do before and after games.

🥏 Divisions
All divisions will play mixed 5v5 on lined fields:
* Standard Mixed (All Ages)
* Masters
* Grandmasters
* Great Grandmasters

🎉 Saturday Night Party
Get ready for a good time! We’re headed to a new venue in Santa Monica this year, details for which will be announced soon. You can expect many of the same features as in years past:
✅ Free admission for all registered players
✅ Open bar, drinks, and snacks included
✅ Fun dance party DJ spinning all the hits
✅ Plus-ones welcome after 9:30 PM
✅ Party runs until midnight
