Jasen Brown, the director of engineering at two Ritz-Carlton resorts in Vail, Colorado, spends about $16/month most of the year on his electric bill -- in an area of the U.S. that is positively frigid in the winter. Yes, it's more in the winter, and yes, he does have solar. However, many of the energy hacks that Jasen teaches the Ritz-Carlton staff, including the housekeeping team, are simple behavior changes that add up to substantial savings.

I need you to stop pretending a paper straw and a reusable tote bag cancel out the rest of your consumption. The Arctic isn't melting because you recycled one bottle once in 2022.
