Another initiative you can take is to write a public comment regarding the changes to the

Today is Imagine A Day Without Water!

Here is a message from the interim Executive Director & Bishop Paiute Tribal Member, Raquel Anakalea at Owen’s Valley Indian Water Commission.

Oftentimes when we pass by the lands, plant relatives, and rock relatives, we do not wonder what existed prior to extractive industries or excess development. There were existing flourishing waterways in Los Angeles that were stewarded by Indigenous Peoples for millennia; it’s important to remember that the waterways have been disrupted, and it is our responsibility to ensure that we love, protect, and respect the waters. Water is life, what would you do without it?

Join us for a FREE one hour Educational Forum on Prop 45 this upcoming Monday, October 19th, from 7-8pm.

Prop 45 could cause further harm to the lands, waters, air, and natural relatives through expedited projects. This also would completely exclude non-federally recognized Tribes from consultation.

Summer is Ending, But The Heat Isn’t.

This past summer was hot AND humid. We also had several extreme heat warnings. While tomorrow’s the last day of summer, it is determined that the heat will continue and we need to ensure that we are staying as cool and hydrated as we can.
