Join AAJA-LA President Samantha Masunaga and author Sara Kehaulani Goo for a Hawaiian History Month author talk. Goo will discuss her new memoir “Kuleana” at the Last Bookstore Studio City The Last Bookstore Studio City on Sept. 6 at 11:30 am.

Goo is a journalist and senior news executive who has led several national news organizations including Axios, NPR and The Washington Post. She is now serving as President of the WP Creator network at The Washington Post, a new business outside the newsroom focused on content partnerships with independent creators.

AAJA-LA is excited to announce an internship at LAist. Applications are open now for the internship.

This internship will be placed in the newsroom and will assist with newsgathering for LAist.com and for LAist 89.3 FM, including coverage of elections, AAPI communities and other news topics.

Applicants for this role should have experience or interest in radio and/or digital production and include samples of their related work.

Deadline to apply is Sept. 4.

We're bringing together medical experts, fitness professionals and journalists for meaningful conversations about wellness, access and storytelling.

As we walk together, we'll explore the role of fitness in self-care; discuss barriers and inequities in fitness that impact health outcomes; and examine how journalists can better cover fitness and health issues through a solutions-focused lens.
