Montecito Rotary Club

Last week the Rotary Club of Montecito was proud to donate 135 new backpacks to the Montecito Family YMCA for their annual Backpack Give Back campaign!

They are participating in a friendly competition with the other local YMCAs, and we’re hoping to help them bring home the title again this year!

Every backpack will help a local child start the school year with the supplies they need to succeed.

In addition, one of our Rotary members, who wishes to remain anonymous, generously donated enough for the YMCA to purchase school supplies for 300 backpacks. What an incredible gift for local students and their families.

The Backpack Give Back campaign continues through Friday, July 31. If you’d like to participate, new backpacks may be dropped off at any Channel Islands YMCA location before the drive ends.

Thank you to everyone who donated and made this possible. Community partnerships like these are what Rotary is all about. Service Above Self. 💙🎒

As we begin a new Rotary year today, we’d like to take a moment to recognize and thank our outgoing president, Sese Ntem, whose term officially concluded yesterday.

Sese has led the Rotary Club of Montecito with humility, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to Service Above Self. His thoughtful leadership, positive spirit, and genuine care for others have strengthened our club and inspired each of us. We were honored to celebrate Sese’s incredible year of service at his recent step-down celebration and thank him for the lasting impact he has made on our Rotary family.

Thank you, Sese, for an exceptional year of leadership, friendship, and service. We are grateful for all you’ve done and look forward to seeing your continued impact in our club and throughout our community. 💙💛
