From PAL to the Police Department! 💙💛

There’s something special about seeing familiar faces come full circle. Today, we’re celebrating PAL alumni who now work at the Santa Barbara Police Department, serving our community.

We’re proud of the paths they’ve chosen and the example they’re setting for the next generation of PAL youth. Watching them grow into these roles gives us so much to celebrate! ✨

25 years later, we remember. 🇺🇸

This morning, SBPAL was honored to join our local public safety agencies and community at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse for the 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony.

We remember the lives lost, honor the first responders and civilians whose courage defined that day, and reflect on the service, sacrifice, and unity that followed.

As we help raise a generation that did not experience September 11 firsthand, we have a responsibility to ensure its stories, its heroes, and its lessons are never forgotten.

We Remember. Honoring the Past, Guarding the Future.

Thank you to Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office Santa Barbara County Fire Department Santa Barbara Police Department and Santa Barbara City Fire Department for bringing our community together to remember and honor. 🇺🇸

In her new role, Valeria will be connecting law enforcement and the community through PAL's mission-driven programs, all while supporting and inspiring the next generation.

We're so happy to welcome her passion and energy to the PAL family! Help us give Valeria a warm welcome and say hi in the comments below – we're lucky to have her with us! 🎉

Throwback to 2007! 💙

Today we celebrate the Santa Barbara City Youth Council, the young leaders whose vision, voices, and hard work helped create the Twelve35 Teen Center.

This photo from the grand opening reminds us what can happen when young people are given the opportunity to lead. All these years later, Twelve35 continues to be a place where teens can connect, grow, feel supported, and belong.

Thank you to the original Youth Council members for creating a lasting legacy for generations of Santa Barbara youth.

🎤🌸 A full circle PAL moment!

We are incredibly proud of Rebecca Barreto Santana, PAL alumna and recipient of the Mariachi Festival Scholarship, who took the Mariachi Festival stage and spoke in front of more than 3,000 people!

Watching Rebecca confidently share her voice on such a huge stage is exactly what PAL is about. Creating opportunities, building confidence, and watching our young people grow into incredible leaders. 💗

A huge thank you to Richard Garnica and the Mariachi Festival for investing in our youth, supporting Rebecca through this scholarship, and giving her an unforgettable opportunity to represent PAL and her community.

Rebecca, we are so proud of you! Keep shining! 🌟🎶

One trip. Two iconic cities. Countless memories.💙

Our SPAL youth experienced the best of New York City and Washington, D.C. while attending the 2026 National PAL Youth Summit. They returned home with new friendships, new perspectives, and memories they'll never forget.

We're so proud of the way they represented Santa Barbara every step of the way!
