He is Risen!

This Easter Sunday, we celebrate the hope, sacrifice, and victory found in Jesus Christ. The resurrection reminds us that light overcomes darkness, and love always wins.

At Shield the Innocent, our mission is rooted in that same truth protecting what is good, standing for what is right, and defending the vulnerable.

Just as Christ is our shield and our strength, we are called to be a shield for the innocent in a world that needs protection now more than ever.

Today, we pray for families, for children, and for communities, that they may walk in truth, safety, and hope.

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.” Psalm 28:7

From our family to yours,
Happy Easter

As parents, most of us would never let our kids ride in a car with someone we don’t know. If your child asked to go to a sleepover at a friend’s house, you’d probably want to know who the parents are, where they live, and if the environment is safe.

We do this because protecting our kids matters.

But when it comes to technology, many families unknowingly do the opposite.

We hand our children a smartphone, tablet, or gaming console and instantly give millions of strangers potential access to them through online games, messaging apps, and social platforms often with very little parental control or oversight.

The internet can be an incredible tool, but it can also open doors to people who do not have your child’s best interest in mind.

Before giving your child a device, take the time to:
• Understand the apps and games they’re using
• Set up parental controls and privacy settings
• Talk openly with your child about online safety
• Stay involved in their digital world

Just like you wouldn’t send your child somewhere without knowing who they’re with, don’t send them into the digital world without guidance and protection.

If you would like to schedule a presentation for your school, church, or community group, or if you would like information about a specific app or platform your child is using, reach out to us. We are here to help parents and communities better protect kids online.

Let’s protect kids both offline and online.

Love is more then just saying the word

As parents, caregivers, and a community of faith, we are called to protect the children God has entrusted to us. In a digital world where danger can hide behind screens, loving our kids means staying vigilant, informed, and present.

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23

Protecting Kids
Empowering Parents
Fighting Exploitation

Love is action. Love is protection. Love is standing in the gap for the innocent.

This Valentine’s Day, let’s commit to intentional conversations, prayerful guidance, and active involvement in our children’s online lives so they can grow in safety, wisdom, and faith.

A man allegedly spent months grooming two young girls online through Roblox, then moved the conversation to Snapchat before driving nearly 24 hours to abduct them. Thankfully, the girls were found safe but this is a stark reminder of how online grooming works.

Predators don’t start with threats, they start with friendship, attention, and trust.

Talk with your kids about who they’re talking to online
Monitor games, apps, and private messages
Reinforce that online “friends” are still strangers

This is why Shield the Innocent exists to protect kids, empower parents, and fight online exploitation before it turns into real-world harm.

Looks like tomorrow might be a “stuck at home” kind of day with the roads iced over and no school in many areas. While you’re inside with the kids, it’s a perfect opportunity to check in on their online activity, talk about internet safety, and set some healthy tech boundaries.

At Shield the Innocent, we exist to protect kids, empower parents, and fight online exploitation even on days when snow or ice keeps everyone inside.

Stay safe, stay warm, and use this time to connect and protect your family online.

Tonight, I had the privilege of speaking with the leaders and young women of American Heritage Girls who meet at St Francis Anglican Parish about Internet safety and the very real risks of online exploitation.

These conversations matter. Far too often, we wait until something goes wrong before talking with our kids about the digital world they navigate every day. Internet safety is not a one-time discussion, it is an ongoing dialogue that must grow as our children grow.

I am incredibly grateful to American Heritage Girls for recognizing the importance of equipping both youth and leaders with knowledge, awareness, and practical tools to stay safe online. When organizations prioritize proactive education, we create safer communities and stronger futures for our kids.

At Shield the Innocent, we will continue pushing these conversations forward, because protecting children online is everyone’s responsibility.

Happy New Year

As we move into 2026, one truth remains clear: online threats to children are not slowing down, they are evolving.

Behind every report is a real child at risk. That is why Shield the Innocent exists to equip parents, caregivers, and communities with the knowledge and tools needed to protect children before harm occurs.

Prevention starts with awareness. When families are informed and communities are engaged, children are safer.

Let’s make 2026 a year of action, vigilance, and protection for our kids.

🎄 Merry Christmas from Shield the Innocent 🎄

This Christmas season, we’re reminded that protecting children doesn’t take a holiday. While families celebrate, connect, and create memories, we encourage parents to stay mindful of the digital spaces our kids enter every day.

The greatest gift we can give our children is safety, both offline and online.

From our family to yours, we wish you a joyful, peaceful, and safe Christmas. Thank you for standing with us as we continue working to protect and educate families in the year ahead.

Giving your child access to the internet means giving the internet access to your child.

Pause.

Think about that.

True online safety begins long before the first click, swipe, or screen lights up.

Education. Awareness. Protection.
