October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and this year, we’ll be recognizing it alongside an organization working to help people heal. Next Thursday, our monthly AM Buzz networking event is hosted by Haven In Lee County. In addition to your usual opportunity to connect with your business colleagues in a casual atmosphere, you’ll also learn about all the good HAVEN does making our community a safer place for everyone. Providing shelter, counseling, and many other forms of assistance to our vulnerable neighbors experiencing domestic violence, HAVEN is hard at work creating violence-free relationships and a violence-free community. We couldn’t be prouder of the work they do, and of the many members of our community who support them. We look forward to seeing you there.
