“Y’all are only open 3 days a week.”
And you’re right. 💜
The café doors may only be open three days a week, but the work never stops.
What many people don’t see are the other four days spent serving our community in ways that go far beyond sandwiches, coffee, and desserts.
The Debonair Chef, The Robin’s Nest, Chef James, Jill, and our family provide food and support seven days a week through foster care programs, schools, community organizations, the elderly, families in need, and members of our under served community. We spend countless hours preparing meals, supporting local events, donating our time, mentoring others, and helping wherever we can.
But one of the things we’re most proud of is what comes next.
In the near future, The Debonair Chef will be launching a FREE accredited culinary apprenticeship program for aspiring chefs and kitchen professionals who may not have the financial means to attend a traditional culinary school. We believe talent shouldn’t be limited by income, and we’re committed to creating opportunities for the next generation to learn, grow, and build successful careers in the culinary industry.
This has never been just about food for us.
It’s about investing in people.

Chef James and Jill have always believed that success means very little if you’re not reaching back and helping someone else climb with you. Whether it’s feeding families, mentoring students, supporting local organizations, or creating career pathways for those who need them most, giving back has always been at the heart of everything we do.
So yes, we’re open three days a week.
But we’re serving our community seven days a week.
Every coffee, every chicken salad, every sandwich, every catering order, and every dessert helps us continue this mission.
