The Monday Club is a non-profit civic organization with a long history of community service. The group began in 1924 and has done many things since it's inception for the citizens of San Luis Obispo. We have been supporting local charitable causes for women and children since our inception. The Monday Club currently sponsors the annual Fine Arts Awards scholarship program for local high school stu

dents. Musical and artistic accomplishments are honored through this program. The beautiful historic building was designed by Hearst Castle architect Julia Morgan and constructed in 1933-1934. Look for upcoming Fundraising Events!

At the end of May, The Monday Club SLO RAR Committee Members joined the Quality Counts San Luis Obispo gathering of early care and education professionals and children by giving out 400 books to educators for their classrooms, and to all the children who attended, in support of childhood literacy, the foundation of Raising a Reader. The recipients were thrilled to have these books – not just for one or two children, but for each child in their classroom, many of whom have no books at home. Thank you to the RAR Committee!!
