Hey community! We’re in need of some volunteers on Saturday’s.

We do ask that if you sign up for a shift, please mark it in your calendar so that we aren’t short handed.

The shifts are 9:30-2:30 and we’ll need help setting up our free store, helping people find items that they need and then putting it all away. You’ll meet other local community minded folks while volunteering with us. Come on out and help us support our community!

💧It’s hot outside! Stop in to STAY TRUE CYCLEWORKS LLC Gem Coffee and Pop-Up Winona to pick up a case of water to hand out to our unhoused neighbors during their regular business hours.

This weekend was intense. It was hot and it felt like there were a lot of plates spinning in the air but all things considered we had an incredible turnout for this months swap and community fair with some super early bird “event goers” there lending hands as we were setting up. Really, truly thank you to everyone that puts the effort into making sure these events happen.

We’re a bit late on posting our schedule for October this week because we’re trying to plan ahead for our holiday schedules. We’ll have it posted soon!

We’re making sure we’re ready for you tomorrow! Come on out and join in some community fun! We’ll be setting up a cool down station to combat the heat!

Let’s talk about some home surveillance systems that keep your neighbors safe.

Ring specifically has a “community request tool” which partners with flock and allows law enforcement to request data. The “search party” feature automatically goes through videos from all the ring cameras in an area when a report is filed.

All of this comes down to community surveillance without a warrant.

In the comments list the systems you use that protect all of our privacy.

🎉 This Saturday! We have backpacks and school supplies to give away! Clothes, kids clothes, books and seeds to swap! Baked goods, a free store and community organizations ready to talks to you about what they have to offer.

❄️ There will be a cool down tent set up with misters a fan and a water bottle refill station.

🚫💵 THIS EVENT IS ALWAYS FREE
And you don’t have to bring items to take items. Think of it as a free market and resource fair, right here in city heights!

🚌 🚗🚲🛼 Street parking with a drop off spot. The 1 and 215 bus stop at Winona and El Cajon blvd.
