What better way to kick off the first day of school than with a little extra support, excitement, and community spirit! โค๏ธ
We were proud to partner with San Diego County Probation for a special Back to School Event at Central Elementary, where we welcomed students back with backpacks filled with school essentials and provided teachers with classroom supplies to help them start the new school year prepared.
And of course, no back-to-school celebration would be complete without McGruff the Crime Dog! ๐Ÿพ Our students absolutely loved meeting McGruff and celebrating the start of a brand-new school year with a big smile.
Weโ€™re grateful for the opportunity to support our students, teachers, and school community. Hereโ€™s to a safe, successful, and amazing school year ahead! ๐ŸŽ“โœ๏ธ๐Ÿ““

๐ŸŒž What a Week to Remember! ๐ŸŒŠโ˜€๏ธ
We wrapped up our High School Summer Program with an unforgettable final week filled with hands-on learning, adventure, teamwork, and plenty of fun! ๐Ÿ’™
Our students had the incredible opportunity to visit the San Diego County Probation Training Center, where they stepped into the SIMS House and experienced what it is like to enter a home during a probation officerโ€™s home check. They put their observation and problem-solving skills to the test by searching for hidden contraband and even participated in a simulation! ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ”Ž
Congratulations to the students who earned prizes for finding all the hidden contraband and for successfully de-escalating an upset probationer! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘ These activities gave our students a firsthand look at the skills, communication, and professionalism required in the probation field.
They also had the chance to meet the incredible K-9s and learn about the important role they play in supporting probation officers and keeping communities safe. ๐Ÿ•โ€๐Ÿฆบ๐Ÿ’™
And the fun didnโ€™t stop there! ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Our students enjoyed a beach day then heading to Mission Bay Aquatics for a kayaking session. They learned the logistics and fundamentals of kayaking, put their skills into practice, and had an absolute blast out on the water! ๐Ÿ›ถ๐ŸŒŠ
We ended our final day with a BBQ, laughter, and an epic water balloon battle! ๐Ÿ’ฆ It was the perfect way to celebrate the friendships, memories, and connections made throughout the summer.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this summer program so meaningful and special. From our community partners, local law enforcement officers and staff to everyone who welcomed our students and created these incredible opportunities we appreciate you! โค๏ธ

What a fantastic evening celebrating National Night Out! ๐ŸŽ‰
We were thrilled to see so many families come out to connect with our officers, visit community resource tables, and enjoy all the fun activities, including rock climbing, golf, and the always-popular dunk tank! It was a great opportunity to build relationships, strengthen our community, and have fun together.
We also had the chance to attend El Cajonโ€™s National Night Out, where officers joined children in hula hoop contests, played games, explored police vehicles, and shared plenty of smiles and laughter.

Week 4 of Our High School Summer Program โš–๏ธโšพ๐Ÿ’™
What an incredible week of learning, growth, and unforgettable experiences!
We kicked off the week with a visit to the District Attorneyโ€™s Office, where students explored the courthouse, learned about the many career opportunities within the justice system, and gained insight into the important work that happens every day. Students also participated in a mock trial, taking on the roles of public defenders, prosecutors, judges, and witnesses to better understand the court process. One of the most memorable moments was meeting the courthouseโ€™s comforting dog, who provides support to victims during testimony.
The excitement continued as students enjoyed an afternoon at the Padres game, cheering on the home team as they defeated the Rockies 3โ€“1! โšพ๐ŸŽ‰
To wrap up an inspiring week, students heard powerful and heartfelt stories from Mothers With A Message, leaving a lasting impact on everyone in attendance.
A heartfelt thank you to the District Attorneyโ€™s Office, the Padres organization, Mothers With A Message, and everyone who helped make this week such a meaningful experience for our students. We are grateful for your time, partnership, and commitment to investing in our future leaders!

Wrapping up our Auto Mechanics program! ๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿš—

On their final day, our students took time to review everything they learned over the past few weeks while continuing to build their hands-on automotive skills. They practiced removing, replacing, and repairing headlights, taillights, and brake lights, as well as inspecting and replacing windshield wiper blades.

From routine maintenance to essential vehicle repairs, these students have gained valuable experience and confidence that will serve them well on and off the job. Weโ€™re proud of all theyโ€™ve accomplished and canโ€™t wait to see where these new skills take them. Congratulations on completing the program! ๐Ÿ‘

As we wrapped up our final day of the Middle School Summer Program, our students took time to reflect on a wonderful summer by creating thank-you cards for the organizations whose generosity made this program possible, along with a heartfelt get-well-soon card for Officer Clemons, who has been greatly missed.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch of burgers, hot dogs, and sweet watermelon before ending the day with a fun painting activity. Our students showed off their creativity and artistic talents, and each painting was something to be proud of!
While it was a bittersweet goodbye, weโ€™re so grateful for the memories, friendships, and experiences we shared this summer. Thank you to everyone who helped make this program such a success. Have a safe and wonderful school year we canโ€™t wait to see you all again next summer! ๐ŸŽจ๐ŸŒญ๐Ÿ‰โค๏ธ

Week 3 of our High School Summer Program was packed with hands-on learning, career exploration, and unforgettable experiences! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿš‘โ˜€๏ธ
Our students kicked off the week at the San Diego Fire-Rescue Academy, where they got an inside look at what it takes to become a firefighter. They learned what a typical day at the academy looks like, explored different fire apparatus and specialized equipment, and witnessed an exciting live search and rescue K9 demonstration.
To beat the summer heat, students enjoyed a fun-filled day at Sesame Place, making memories with their friends, officers, and staff.
We wrapped up the week with EMT and CPR training, where students gained valuable lifesaving skills. They learned how emergency medical responders handle ambulance calls, how to assess vital signs, control severe bleeding with a tourniquet, and perform CPR on both adults and infants. Each student also received some great souvenirs to remember the experience.
