The LEAGUE of Amazing Programmers The LEAGUE teaches professional-level programming to kids & teens in 5th-12th grade. will be unfilled by 2020.

We empower students to shape the ever-changing technological landscape through innovative, mastery-based computer science education. The LEAGUE of Amazing Programmers is a non-profit 501(c)(3) after-school institution that teaches Java coding to kids and teens in 5th-12th grade. It is the only coding school that takes students through 10 levels of mastery - from beginner all the way to being a job

-ready, certified Java programmer! The LEAGUE seeks specifically to reach more girls and underserved youth, so that children from all backgrounds may have access to acquire the skills and education necessary to contribute to the workforce of the 21st century. Computer science is rarely taught in public school systems, yet The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that one million programming jobs in the U.S. The LEAGUE seeks to address this problem by teaching students to code, getting them interested at a young age so that they are more likely to pursue programming in college and in their careers. Our curriculum ends with preparation for the Oracle Professional Certification Exam, which permits direct entry into the workplace upon high school graduation without requiring a college degree. Young students’ lives are positively impacted through the critical thinking skills and self-confidence they gain from learning computer programming at The LEAGUE!
