Membership Requirements

The membership requirements for the American Legion Riders are very straightforward. To become a member, you must...
..be a current member in good standing of the American Legion or American Legion Auxiliary or Sons of the American Legion...be the owner of a motorcycle of at least 350cc engine displacement and must possess a valid driver's license in your state of residence (military equivalents acceptable as well) ~or~ must be the legal spouse of an ALR member in good standing within the Chapter of application. Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association® Chapter 33-1 will hold its 6th Annual Heroes Luncheon on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Elks Lodge, 1687 Escondido Elks Lodge #1687, 2430 S. Escondido Blvd., Escondido, CA.

The luncheon will honor 17 WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans, with Medal of Honor recipient CAPT Royce E. Williams, USN (Ret.), attending as Guest of Honor. 🇺🇸

This is also a fundraiser for Honor Flight San Diego. Tickets are $25 in advance through October 9 and $30 at the door and include a lasagna lunch. All proceeds from this event get more Veterans on their Honor Flight!

CVMA Chapter 33-1 is a 501(c)(19) nonprofit organization established August 12, 2008, and is California’s original CVMA chapter.

The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association®, or CVMA®, is made up of veterans from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces who share a passion for motorcycles and a commitment to helping fellow veterans. Its mission is summed up by its motto: “Vets Helping Vets.”
