The mission of ELMC is to reach the imprisoned, paroled, and their families and teach them how to live empowered lives, regardless of where they are or where they've been. Our vision in carrying out this mission out is threefold: to provide faith-based written content to individuals behind bars, to provide free counseling services to their families who remain on the outside, and to offer re-entry
support services to those coming out of prison. Our aim in executing the mission and vision is to help individuals unveil their authentic self as the holy and wholly approved of individuals that they are. To open the eyes of the hurting and discouraged that they might see their deepest potential and greatest strengths. To help individuals and families discover a life narrative they're not only proud of, but also full of joy to be living. Often times, our darkest nights and most difficult days are the soil from which new life springs forth. At ELMC, we don't just help you to bloom where you're planted; we empower you to face every fear with faith, to confront obstacles that have been holding you back, and to heal from the pain, sorrow, and grief that is sometimes unavoidable in this life. We walk with you through your valleys to help you discover the warrior inside of you. It's not easy, but within you is a courage, beauty, and promise of purpose just waiting to be unearthed. You have a story to share and we help you write it! "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace." - Isaiah 55:8-12
