✨ In celebration of International Day of Play, Mattel volunteers helped create meaningful play experiences for children at Bessie Pregerson Child Development Center and Siemon Center.

Through hands-on activities, creativity, storytelling, building, and imaginative play, children had the opportunity to learn, grow, connect, and experience the joy of play.

Today marked the beginning of a monumental new chapter of change for homelessness in Orange County. 🧡

We proudly celebrated the groundbreaking of The Salvation Army Orange County's CARI Research Center at the Center of Hope in Anaheim—a visionary investment in innovation, wellness, and compassionate care.

This short video captures just a glimpse of the wonderful, successful, and inspiring event we celebrated today. We are deeply grateful to our partners, donors, supporters, city officials, staff, community leaders, and everyone who joined us to celebrate this milestone.

This groundbreaking represents much more than a new building. The CARI Center will provide dedicated case management services for shelter residents, a 300-seat multipurpose gathering space, a health and wellness urgent care center thanks to Families Together OC, and the groundbreaking Samueli Innovation Hub—the first-of-its-kind research and program innovation space designed to advance solutions for homelessness and community well-being.

Together, we're building a future where hope, dignity, and opportunity are accessible to all.

A fresh new look for The Salvation Army Compton Corps ❤️

Thanks to The Home Depot Foundation and Team Depot volunteers, the Compton Corps received a meaningful refresh — from painted chapel walls and new planter boxes to fresh mulch, power washing, and a dedicated soccer area for kids.

Volunteers also donated and built a foosball table and air hockey/pool table, creating more opportunities for youth to play, connect, and enjoy a safe space.

We are so grateful for this continued partnership and the care shown to our community.
