These two precious pups have officially found their forever families and are settling into wonderful new homes. We couldn’t be happier for them as they begin this exciting new chapter filled with love.

Canelo is a sweet 9-month-old Chihuahua weighing just 10 pounds. This handsome little guy may be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once he feels safe, his loving personality shines through.

Canelo gets along wonderfully with his foster brother, Chino Duke, and their bond adds an extra layer of joy to their lives. They support each other and share playful moments, making them a great duo. Canelo and Chino Duke can be adopted separately but they also would love to stay together. Adoption Fee for both would be $750.00.

These two tiny sweethearts are currently at the San Diego Humane Society and are ready to start their next chapter in a loving foster home!

🐶 Panchito – 5 years old, 7 lbs
🐶 Snowball – 9 years old, 6 lbs (pictured before and after his much-needed grooming glow-up ✨)

Both dogs are currently in care at San Diego Humane Society — Panchito is at the Gaines Street Campus, and Snowball is at the Oceanside Campus.

We are seeking loving foster homes in San Diego County only, with placement available starting June 17th. These small, gentle pups would thrive in a calm, safe home while they await their next step.

Dott is a beautiful 1½-year-old Chihuahua-Dachshund mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love just waiting to be shared.

Life didn’t start out easy for Dott. She was found abandoned in a field with five of her siblings, and because of that, she can be a little shy when meeting new people or experiencing new environments. But underneath that cautious exterior is the sweetest companion you could ever hope to find.

Once Dott feels safe, she absolutely blossoms. She loves cuddling on the couch, snuggling in bed, and staying close to her person. She is affectionate, loyal, playful, and enjoys spending time with other dogs. At just 15 pounds, she’s the perfect size for lap time and adventures alike.

Diamond and Jellybean are currently in emergency boarding at San Diego Humane Society and will be eligible for rescue exit on June 9th.

We may not know their full story, but we do know they deserve safety, love, and a place to call home. We are urgently seeking a foster for one or both dogs, ideally together, to help them start their next chapter.

✨ Chanel Is Ready for Her Next Chapter as a CRSDC Foster Dog ✨

Little Miss Chanel is looking for her next foster home with Chihuahua Rescue!

This sweet 7-month-old Shih Tzu mix is a tiny survivor with an even bigger heart. Chanel came into rescue after suffering severe injuries as a stray, but despite everything she endured, she has remained loving, playful, and full of puppy joy.

A huge thank you to her first foster mama for the incredible care she provided during Chanel’s recovery. Because of her dedication, Chanel has healed, gained confidence, and is now ready for her next chapter.

Now this happy girl is ready to party! 🎉 Chanel has lots of puppy energy and would love a home with another small dog to play with. She would also do best with someone who is home much of the time, as she feels happiest when she has her people nearby and could use a little extra support while continuing to build confidence when left alone.
