FROM ADDICTION TO NEW LIFE

Before Sandeep met Jesus, addiction and anger controlled his life and damaged his closest relationships.

“I was addicted to alcohol and smoking,” Sandeep shares. “I would mistreat my wife and live in anger.”

Everything began to change when Sandeep came to know Jesus.

Later, he received a Talking Bible. As he listened to God’s Word each day, his faith grew stronger and Scripture began shaping the way he lived.

Today, Sandeep and his wife faithfully follow Christ. He shares the truth of God’s Word with others, and his sister has also decided to follow Jesus.

“IT INCREASED MY FAITH.”

For 15 years, Medadi lived with fear, illness, and spiritual suffering. Her family pursued rituals and traditional treatments, but nothing brought her peace.

Eventually, Medadi returned to a local church in Tanzania, where an evangelist placed a Talking Bible into her hands.

Because reading is difficult for her, Medadi can now listen to God’s Word in her own language while working on her family’s farm and caring for her home.

Recently, she listened to Matthew chapters 8 and 9 and heard how Jesus healed the sick and responded to those who came to Him in faith.

“Ordinarily, I just go to church and come back,” Medadi says. “After listening to the Talking Bible, it increased my faith.”

After years of fear and suffering, Medadi now has Scripture to remind her that Jesus sees her, cares for her, and walks with her each day.

For years, the only church in Shobha’s village in India met inside her own home—but she and her family wanted nothing to do with Christianity.

Then Shobha experienced healing, and her heart began to open to Jesus.

Because she could not read, a Talking Bible allowed her to hear God’s Word in her own language. She began playing it every morning and evening while her family gathered nearby.

After only one month of listening, Shobha’s husband accepted Jesus.

Now, every night before bed, he asks her to turn on the Talking Bible so the entire family can listen together.

Achan is a 40-year-old widow with six children.

"I can tell you that I am very glad for this Talking Bible. It has made a big difference in our home. My children are close to me because we listen to God's Word together. They are not running around in the evening, but we listen together and discuss what God tells us.

Our neighbors also come and listen twice a week. Now there are six of us. Even those who are not believers will ask to come and listen. So far, we have seen Didumo and Abang become Christians and attend church.

It only took two months for Manju’s life to begin changing through the power of hearing God’s Word.

Like many people in rural India, Manju struggled to read and had difficulty understanding the Bible on her own. But after receiving a Talking Bible in her own language, she now spends hours each day listening to Scripture and growing in her faith.
