Audio Talking Bibles for those who cannot read! Everyone needs access to the Word of God! Join Us!

The ministry, an ECFA-accredited 501(c)(3) charitable organization, provides leaders in communities of oral learners with “talking” Bibles, God’s spoken Word, in their native languages. The ministry trains leaders to use “talking” Bibles to share the good news of Christ. These Bibles allow leaders to nurture their congregations and reach out to unbelievers. This approach equips indigenous non-readers to become church leaders, pastors, and missionaries to their own communities. Our mission stems from a strong conviction that everyone in the world needs access to the Bible. The purpose of Talking Bibles is to give non-readers and the blind access to the Bible in their native language. Our mission is to serve the Lord Jesus Christ by producing audio recordings of translated Scriptures in hundreds of languages and making these recordings accessible in the form of Talking Bibles for millions of people around the world who cannot read. “I have not seen anything like this Talking Bible. It can attract people who we thought were not interested in Christianity.”

An evangelist in Tanzania uses Talking Bibles to teach Religious Education in public schools. Outside the classroom, he leads two Talking Bible listening groups, including one for members of his church choir.

Through these groups, people are hearing God’s Word in their heart language. Some have started attending church, while others have come to believe and are preparing for baptism.

“The Talking Bible gives us a way to reach non-readers with the Word of God,” he shared.

When people hear God’s Word in their heart language, unexpected listeners begin to come.

Many of us skim the long list of names in Matthew 1.

But for Angelina, this is the good part.

When Angelina received a Talking Bible, for the first time, she could choose a passage and listen to God’s Word in Kiswahili whenever she wanted.

The genealogy of Jesus especially captured her attention. In a culture where family lines and ancestry carry deep meaning, hearing the names of Jesus’ ancestors helped His story feel rooted in real people and real history.

It made Angelina feel that she knew Him better.

Across Tanzania, Talking Bibles are also helping students hear Scripture during Religious Education classes. A passage that may seem like only a list of names can become the moment Jesus feels real—and His story begins to feel like good news meant for them, too.
