Congratulations to the City of Oceanside - Government on yesterday’s $3M award from the State of California to develop interim housing at the Oceanside Navigation Center (ONC), where Interfaith and the City currently partner on 75 shelter beds for Oceanside residents.

Since we began operating ONC last year, we have helped stabilize more than 250 people. This funding comes at a critical time, as the greatest barriers to permanent housing for ONC residents remain the high cost of rent and their limited incomes.

Thank you to Senator Catherine Blakespear for securing this investment and championing such an innovative project.

We're excited to explore affordable, longer-term options for local workers who, despite their best efforts, are still struggling to secure a place to call home.

Thank you to the Oceanside First Presbyterian Church & Preschool! This week they donated over 45 bags of food, 7 bags of diapers, and additional hygiene goods.

Elder and chair of mission committee, Gail Lynn, comes once a month to support our Carlsbad Service Center and ensure the pantry is stocked for the community. They also support our veterans in our Grants Per Diem program with personal care items and linens.

Thank you again, Oceanside First Presbyterian Church & Preschool, for your continued support and partnership.

25 Years of Remembrance. Today marks the anniversary of one of the most tragic days in our nation's history. On September 11, 2001, thousands of lives were lost. Firefighters, police officers, medics, and everyday Americans gave everything to help their neighbors.

We take this moment to honor those who lost their lives. Thank you to all the first responders who answered the call then, and all who continue to serve today.
