A reminder to anyone seeking rescue help: PLAN AHEAD.

Threats and ultimatums don’t create more time or resources. They make me cry, feel helpless, and realize I may no longer have time to save the animal you’re threatening.

Rescues have limited space, volunteers, and resources. We cannot drop everything because you waited until the last minute.

Be responsible. Ask for help early. Your poor planning should never become an animal’s death sentence.

🐾🍖 READY FOR ADOPTION! MEET MEATBALL! 🍖🐾

Meet Meatball, a 9–10-week-old little guy with a name that fits him in TWO very important ways! 😂🖤

First, his origin story: Meatball was found on a Navy base, right next to the cafeteria, trying to survive on whatever scraps and leftovers people could leave for him. This little guy was doing his best with whatever he could find. 💔

Second, JUST LOOK AT HIM! 🤣

From his adorable round head to his gloriously blobular tummy, Meatball is definitely more ROUND than tall. He's basically a tiny, furry meatball who looks a little like Sonic the Hedgehog — round, a little spiky, and ridiculously cute! 🦔🍖 (Okay, he hasn't mastered the super-speed part yet.)

He's been dewormed, so that adorable roundness isn't a case of worms. This baby was simply SO grateful to find food that it took a little while for his body to catch up with the idea that he was finally SAFE and didn't need to gorge himself every time food appeared. 🥹❤️

Now, instead of scavenging around a cafeteria, this little survivor is ready for the good life: a safe indoor home, a full food bowl, toys, snuggles, and a family who will love him forever!

So, how is he with kids, dogs, and other kitties?

👧 GREAT with little kids! He's a sweet little guy who can fit right into family life.

🐕 Big dog? No big deal! His foster home has a big Lab, and Meatball mostly just ignores him. Apparently, even a giant dog isn't worth getting worked up over when you're busy being an adorable little meatball. 😂

🐈 Other kitties? ABSOLUTELY! Meatball is a social little guy who LOVES feline companionship. He needs another friendly kitty in his adoptive home — someone to play with, learn from, and grow up alongside. He would be sad living as a solo kitty!

No costumes needed when you’re this cute! These two got their happily-ever-after because someone opened their home to foster.

POSSIBLE ADOPTER FOUND! FINGERS CROSSED!

Meet Kairo, a handsome, friendly, 2-year-old orange tabby boy who has already lost the security of the home he thought was forever.

Two years ago, Kairo was adopted from the Humane Society. He was supposed to have a family for LIFE. Cats are a 15–20 YEAR COMMITMENT, not something you give up on when life changes.

When his teenage owner left for college, Mom started letting Kairo outside. And it's been a disaster. He needs a new forever family or a short term foster family (we don't have space, so he is at risk outside every day with the Mom)

Bloody wounds requiring stitches.
Eye injuries from fights with neighborhood cats.
THOUSANDS of dollars in vet bills.

All completely avoidable if Kairo had stayed safely indoors. And despite all this, his adopter's mom is still threatening to get rid of him.

KAIRO IS NOT THE PROBLEM. He’s a wonderful cat who deserves so much better.

Here's what you need to know about this handsome ginger:

GREAT with kids! He's a friendly boy who can be a wonderful family companion.

A SWEET, HANDSOME ORANGE TABBY! He's just 2 years old, with so much love and life ahead of him.

INDOOR-ONLY, FOREVER! Kairo used to be an indoor cat, and that's where he needs to stay. Outside, he's being seriously injured by other cats. The next encounter could be a coyote, and that could be the end of his story.

WHAT KAIRO NEEDS: A forever or short-term foster family who understands that adopting a cat means protecting him, loving him, and keeping him safe for his entire life. Not just until it's inconvenient.

Meet Spooky, a 12-week-old little house panther with a BIG personality! 🐈‍⬛ She’s super sweet, super playful, and ready to bring a whole lot of fun to her forever home!

Spooky was trapped in Ramona with her siblings. Their mama wasn’t interested in becoming a house cat, so she was returned through TNR. But Spooky? She’s decided the indoor life is definitely for her! 🏡❤️

Spooky loves to play, explore, and make friends!

🐕 Dogs? She’s good with them! Her foster home has a big Lab.

👧 Kids? Great with polite little kids who treat her gently.

🐈 Other cats? Absolutely!

And then there’s Meatball, her foster brother. Spooky has definitely left her mark on him — errr, imprinted on him! 😂 She’s helped turn him into the funny, brave little dude he is today. They make quite the pair!

They aren’t bonded and can be adopted separately, but we’d love to see them find a home together. Both would do well in homes with another friendly kitty, so neither can be an only cat.
