Join us in celebrating faith and sports in San Antonio at Little Flower Basilica!
* Mass Celebrating Sports in San Antonio�Saturday, June 20 at 5:30 PM
Come together with Archbishop Gustavo, the Discalced Carmelite Friars, and the Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco for a special Mass of thanksgiving. We will give thanks to God for the blessings of the Spurs, the gift of sport, and the vibrant spirit of San Antonio. A special guest from the San Antonio Spurs will also be joining us.

Today's Gospel serves as a reminder of just how deeply Jesus sees us, especially in moments when we feel tired, lost, or overwhelmed. Our loving Father never looks at us with judgement, but rather with deep compassion. And the most beautiful part of it all...? He doesn't just care from a distance; instead, He invites us to care with Him by bringing love, kindness, and hope to those around us.

Happy Feast Day of St. Anthony of Padua!
St. Anthony, for whom the city of San Antonio is named, was born in Portugal in 1195 and became a Franciscan known for his powerful preaching and deep love for Scripture. He was canonized less than a year after his death and later named a Doctor of the Church. Many of us know him as the patron saint of lost things, and have probably asked for his help more than once.

Because our Salesian Sisters’ Western Province Provincial House is in San Antonio, we feel especially close to him and his example.

St. Anthony of Padua, pray for us…and for all the people of San Antonio!
