Our mission is to rescue, spay and neuter homeless animals and provide them with the best medical care in a nurturing environment, while working to find them forever homes or providing them lifelong sanctuary. Our dogs enjoy socialization and interaction in our outside fenced in dog area, just outside our kennel runs, as well as walking paths throughout the property, while our cats have access to an outside screened sun porch. We have been truly blessed by the enthusiastic support of all of our donors and volunteers, which has allowed us to follow our hearts and foster, protect, adopt, and care for abused and abandoned animals in our community. The overwhelming support we have received has been astonishing, and Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary could not be possible without all of you.

Hi world! My name is Mecklenburg (like the county!), and I am an 11-week-old Husky-mix and Great Pyrenees. I was born on August 10, 2026, and I'm going to be a BIG girl!

Despite my size, I am a sweet, silly puppy. I've got a sassy side and love to speak my mind. I'm playful, goofy, and love romping around with my puppy friends at the sanctuary. I'm social and people-oriented, so I'm already a built-in best friend. I also came from a home with a cat and didn't seem to mind!

Because I'm a puppy with puppy energy, I need a family that will give me consistency and patience as I learn potty training, leash training, and basic obedience. With a routine, I know I will blossom into the best dog!

Hi humans! I’m Linguine, an approximately 1.5-year-old Chihuahua mix who will absolutely melt into your arms for some love! 🍝

My journey to Faithful Friends started in a home with lots of other dogs. I was pretty scared when I first arrived, and there were concerns that I might have an injury to my back legs. After an X-ray, we got some answers: I had a fractured pelvis that had healed on its own. Thankfully, I was able to walk comfortably and didn’t appear to be in pain, so my vet recommended a conservative approach rather than surgery. The plan was to let me build strength in my back legs and reevaluate me once my muscles had developed.

And guess what? I’ve been making great progress! Playing and romping around with my doggy friends has helped me build considerable strength. My gait can still be a little wobbly sometimes, but my vet doesn’t anticipate that I’ll need surgery in the future. I may have a slightly different walk, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying life!

These days, I’m showing everyone just how much love and personality I have to offer. I’m active, sweet, and a BIG fan of belly rubs. Give me a little affection, and I’ll happily melt right into your arms. I’ve become quite the character and am even a staff favorite here at Faithful Friends!

I can be a little nervous when meeting new people or adjusting to unfamiliar surroundings, so I’m looking for a tenured dog owner who understands that some pups need extra time and patience to feel safe. With a little understanding and a lot of love, I know I can continue to blossom into the confident, happy dog I’m meant to be.

I’ve worked hard to get stronger, and now I’m ready for my next big adventure: finding a forever family of my very own. If you’re looking for a sweet little companion with a big heart and plenty of love to give, I might just be your Linguine!

Pet Photos with Santa is by donation only, and all proceeds go towards the care of the animals at Faithful Friends!

Hi there! My name is Coconut, and I am a three-month-old female kitten who really puts the NUT in CocoNUT!

I am as silly and sweet as they come, running and playing with my kitten friends and cuddling in the laps of humans. I've never met a stranger and am super social and outgoing. I love to be cradled like a baby as my purr motor runs at warp speed.

I was born with a slight cleft lip, which does not affect me other than making me extra cute! I do best in a home with another playful cat, as I love bonding with other kitty friends. I am easy to handle, don't mind being carried around, and even like to sit on human shoulders like a parrot.

I would be a perfect addition to just about any family, so if you want a little tropical goodness in your life, apply online today!

Hi there! I’m Tortellini, an approximately 1-year-old long-haired Chihuahua mix with a BIG personality packed into my little body!

When I first arrived at Faithful Friends, I was pretty scared. I came from a home with lots of other dogs, and I was struggling with weakness in my back legs and an unusual gait. After a vet visit, X-rays that cleared me of any concerning findings, and a diagnosis of muscle atrophy, I got to work building up my strength. With time and exercise, I’ve made wonderful progress, and I’m feeling better than ever!

My personality has really blossomed over the last few weeks, and now everyone is getting to see what a special little guy I am. I can be shy around new people, but once I feel comfortable, I turn into a total love bug. I’m sweet, cuddly, playful, and have the most soulful eyes you’ve ever seen. I especially love playing with toys and romping around with other dogs close to my size. Cats, on the other hand? I’m not a fan! I tend to bark at them, so I’d be happiest in a cat-free home.

I do have a few quirks that make me the character I am. Unfamiliar objects can be pretty scary, and I have some serious beef with the fake hedge shaped like a dog in the Faithful Friends lobby. (Honestly, what is that thing?!) I’ll need a patient, understanding adopter who can give me time to adjust, build my confidence, and learn that I’m safe.

Because I can be nervous in new situations, I’m looking for a tenured dog owner who understands that some pups need a little extra time to come out of their shells. A calm, supportive home where I can settle in at my own pace will help me continue to shine.

Three siblings, three unique personalities, and a whole lot of puppy goodness! 💙

Meet Stanly, Madison, and Rowan, a trio of 10-week-old Husky/Great Pyrenees mix puppies who are ready to find families of their very own!

🐶 Stanly is a sweet, goofy boy with big paws, floppy ears, and a mild-mannered personality. He'd love a canine buddy to play with and help him build his confidence!

🐶 Madison is the energetic, silly sister who loves making friends with other dogs! She's full of puppy antics and doesn't bother dog-friendly cats, either. Life is never boring with this girl around!

🐶 Rowan is our sweet, gentle girl who may be a little shy at first, but she builds confidence quickly. Give her some toys and furry friends, and she'll be showing off her personality in no time!

All three are growing fast and will likely be BIG dogs, thanks to their Husky-mix mom and Great Pyrenees dad. They'll need families ready for all the fun, training, and adventures that come with raising a large-breed puppy. 🐾
