🔴 WELCOME TO WORSHIP AT THE SALVATION ARMY SALISBURY CORPS! 🔴

Sunday, October 25, 2026 | 11:00 AM

Good morning, friends, and welcome to The Salvation Army Salisbury Corps, located at 620 Bringle Ferry Road in Salisbury, North Carolina!

We're so glad you've stopped by to worship with us this morning! Whether you're joining us from across town or across the country, consider yourself part of our church family today! We trust that our Salvation Army style of worship will lift your spirits, encourage your heart, and remind you just how much God loves you!

And if you're ever in the Salisbury neighborhood, we'd love to meet you in person! Our doors are open every Sunday morning at 11:00 AM, and there's always room for one more!

🎙️ TODAY'S MESSAGE: "WHEN GOD CALLS US TO STOP"

Our Scripture this morning comes from Acts 3:1–10, where Peter and John encounter a man who had spent his life sitting at the Beautiful Gate, hoping someone would notice him.

They were on their way to pray, with somewhere to go and something to do. But God had a divine appointment waiting for them along the way!

This morning, Corps Administrator Mike Anderson will share a message from this remarkable story, reminding us that sometimes God interrupts our busy schedules because someone along the way needs more than a passing glance. They need someone willing to stop, notice, and share the love of Jesus!

Could it be that someone else's miracle is waiting for us to simply stop?

So wherever you're joining us from today, open your heart, prepare your spirit, and allow the Lord to speak to you through the music, the prayers, and the message.

🎙️ And now, it's time for worship! Let's listen as Corps Sergeant Major Joshua Meredith leads us into our worship experience this morning at The Salvation Army Salisbury Corps!

May the music lift your spirit, the Word strengthen your faith, and the presence of the Lord fill your heart this morning!

❤️ Welcome to worship, everybody! Our service is just getting underway!

Good morning, friends, and welcome to The Salvation Army Salisbury Corps, located at 620 Bringle Ferry Road in Salisbury, North Carolina!
We're delighted you're joining us today! Whether you're worshiping from your living room or sitting right here in our congregation, we're one family gathered to praise the Lord! We trust that our Salvation Army style of worship will encourage your heart, lift your spirit, and draw you closer to God. And if you're ever in the neighborhood, come join us in person! Our doors are open every Sunday morning at 11:00 AM, and there's always a place for you!
Today's worship is led by our Corps Administrator, Mike Anderson, and Corps Sergeant Major, Joshua Meredith, as we explore a question many of us have quietly asked: "What If God Seems to Be Unfaithful?"
Have you ever prayed and prayed, only to wonder why God hasn't answered? Does His silence mean He's forgotten His promises? Abraham and Sarah discovered something remarkable: God's faithfulness doesn't operate on our earthly timetable! His delays are not His denials, and His promises are never forgotten!
As that beautiful song "He Is Able" reminds us, God is more than able to accomplish what concerns us today!
So wherever you're joining us from, prepare your heart, lift your expectations, and worship with us!
🎙️ And now, let's check in with The Salvation Army Salisbury Corps, where our Sunday morning worship service is just getting underway! Welcome to worship, everyone!

When my kids were small, one of the things we loved doing on a warm summer day was spending time in the swimming pool. And, like most parents, we wanted to teach them how to swim—and, eventually, how to jump into the water.

I can still picture those moments. I would be in the pool, standing with my arms stretched wide, looking up at one of my children perched nervously on the edge.

“Come on! Jump! I've got you!”

There they would stand, peering down at me. Little knees bent, toes gripping the edge, eyes fixed on the water below. They wanted to jump. They really did. But there was something about that space between the safety of the poolside and the security of my waiting arms that made them hesitate.

They would lean forward, then straighten up. Take a little step, then back away.

“Come on! I'll catch you!”

And then, finally, they would take a deep breath and leap!
For one brief moment, they were suspended between the safety of the familiar and the uncertainty of the unknown. Little arms flailed, eyes squeezed shut, and perhaps a frightened squeal escaped their lips.

And then—splash!

I would gather them up in my arms, and before long, the fear would give way to laughter. They might still cling tightly to my neck, but they were safe.

Looking back, I realize something important about those moments.
Their security was never found in the strength of their jump, but in the strength of the arms that caught them.

I wonder how often we forget that in our walk with God.
In Matthew 17, a desperate father comes to Jesus with a simple, heartbreaking request: “Lord, have mercy on my son.” He doesn't arrive with a carefully rehearsed prayer or a lengthy explanation of his faith. He comes with a burden he cannot carry and a need he cannot meet himself.

Sometimes we spend so much time examining our faith that we lose sight of the One in whom our faith rests. We wonder if we prayed hard enough, believed strongly enough, or trusted deeply enough.

But perhaps faith was never about how confidently we could leap. Perhaps it was always about learning to trust the One waiting for us with open arms.

Today, you may be standing at the edge of something frightening. A difficult decision. An uncertain future. A burden for someone you love. You may feel your knees trembling and your courage slipping away.

You don't have to pretend you're fearless. You don't have to manufacture confidence you don't possess.
You can simply come to Jesus and whisper the words of that desperate father: “Lord, have mercy on me.”

Because even faith that feels small can become the beginning of something extraordinary when we place it in the hands of a mighty Savior. Jesus can give us the strength to take the next step, even when we cannot see what lies ahead.
