OUR MISSION
MN Pocket Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization primarily serving the Twin Cities Metro Area, focusing on education and public outreach. Our intent is to keep all animals in their homes, with their families, whenever possible. We are committed to rescuing those pocket pets that are in jeopardy of being euthanized or are in danger of being abused, left unattended, or in other types of

vulnerable situations. We ensure all animals receive proper veterinary care, medication, and special training for any behavioral issues, as well as to arrange safe, temporary homes for these animals until stable forever homes can be found. Our team is made up of enthusiastic volunteers who work passionately to serve the underrepresented and often misunderstood niche of pocket pets in the overall rescue community and the general public.

Everyone, meet Viridian and Pewter.

Viridian and Pewter are lovely rabbit sisters who have been in the rescue for quite some time. We are anxious for them to find a loving home where they can eat their hay and play together. Unfortunately, Viridian and Pewter came to MNPPR after being found outside. We are so thankful they are getting such great care—Next stop is adoption. These girls deserve the world! Meet Spatula and Squeegee! These wonderful brothers are excited to find a loving home where they can continue to snack and play. These guys are incredibly smart and LOVE figuring out their puzzle toys. (Their ability to find hidden pea flakes is quite impressive) They are active, loving, and curious boys. Meet Ulna, Femur, and Humerus! These sweet mice can't wait to find a home to share with a loving family. These adorable girls love doing cardio on their exercise wheel, snacking on fruits and veggies, and playing during free roam time. They came to MNPPR when their previous family became allergic. We are thankful they are getting excellent care but are anxious for them to find a permanent home where they can continue to thrive. Interested in learning more about this trio? It’s with another heavy heart that we share news of the passing of one of our Chinchilla animal ambassadors: Evie.

Evie was an Animal Ambassador for MNPPR for 4 years. During her time on the team, she participated in public events providing Meet and Greet encounters, private AHS Camp events meeting lots of kids, and some private Vet Teaching Program events at the UofM and UW-River Falls, Wisconsin. Sierra is on the Design Team and has created lots of designs for MNPPR over the years, including some of our PRIDE designs.
