GW Chase Candy Company is celebrating 150 years of candy-making history and new ownership under Steven Craig and Josh Hegeman. Both Craig and Hegeman look forward to continuing the legacy that started in St. Joseph in 1876.

Yesterday we hosted our annual Small Business Summit, which featured a special Cup of Joe presentation, four break out sessions, resource fair and a keynote luncheon. The Youth Alliance and YouthBuild finished a house renovation recently and celebrated with a house blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

YouthBuild is a program designed for young adults that offers two career pathways, construction and CNA. Many work hours went in to completing the project with every partnership, connection and effort making a difference in the community.
