Visitors to Downtown St. Joseph can see the stage renovation coming to life at Coleman Hawkins Park at Felix Street Square! The new open-air stage is in the southwest corner of the park, facing north. The ground around the stage will be graded to allow patrons to comfortably sit and view the stage. The Coleman Hawkins statue will be safely relocated to the west side of the stage, still in clear view for visitors. No parking spaces will be removed as part of this renovation. This project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2026.

The dust has settled, the votes have been counted, and the chuckwagons have rolled out!

And a tip of the cowboy hat to our Sloppy Joe Eating Contest champions! These hungry outlaws proved they were the fastest hands at the chow table and rode away with bragging rights for another year! 🤠

While we have a few award winners, we truly believe everyone who cooked, competed, volunteered, sponsored, and came downtown to celebrate was a winner. Your support made the first-ever Wild West Sloppy Joe Fest one for the history books, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

Thank you for making Downtown St. Joseph the place to be. Until next time… keep your boots dusty, your napkins handy, and your eyes on the horizon. You never know what adventure is ridin’ into town next! ❤️

Today is the BIG day (Friday, July 10th from 4-8 pm downtown on Felix Street between 6th & 7th Street. Rain or Shine, but Mike Bracciano(KQ2) said we wouldn't have rain! Tasting Tickets still available... https://givebutter.com/wild-west-sloppy-joe-fest

Festival highlights include:
• A Sloppy Joe cook-off competition featuring local cooks
• A crowd-pleasing Sloppy Joe eating contest (Adults & Kids)
• Live music and toe-tapping tunes featuring: Brothers Country from 5-8 pm
• Frontier reenactors and a rowdy cast of Old West performers Whip performer
• A brew tent and a variety of Sloppy Joes
• A complimentary hayride connecting activities across downtown
• Western-themed vendors
