Community Culture Survey Update:

Nearly 300 people have now participated in the St. Joseph Community Culture Survey.

Thank you.

The goal of this survey has never been to prove a point or advance an agenda. The goal is simply to listen and gain a clearer understanding of how people are experiencing leadership and culture across our community.

One thing we’ve learned so far is that some voices are showing up more strongly than others.

The graphic below shows where participation is currently strongest and where we still need help.

If you are part of one of the groups highlighted in orange or red (or if you know someone who is) would you consider helping us broaden the conversation?

We would especially love to hear from:
• Young adults
• Students
• Downtown and Midtown residents
• Government employees
• Arts community members
• Others who may not normally participate in community conversations

The survey is completely anonymous, results will only be presented in aggregate form.

A stronger community begins with a more complete picture.

Results will be shared publicly at Breakfast 40 on June 23.

Those who were with us last December at our community gathering heard from Coach Earleywine in person. Last night he and the Texas Softball team won the 2026 NCAA National Championship!

Whose voice is missing?

The St. Joseph Community Culture Survey is helping us understand the real experience of people across our community, but some voices are still underrepresented.

So far, participation has been strongest among older adults, business leaders, educators, and nonprofit leaders. We would especially love to hear from:

• Young adults (18–34)
• Downtown and Midtown residents
• Government employees
• Arts community members
• Anyone who feels their perspective isn't usually represented

This survey isn't about politics, blame, or criticism.

It's about listening.
Learning.
And growing together.

Help us build a more complete picture of St. Joseph by adding your voice to the conversation.

Results will be shared publicly at Breakfast 40 on June 23.

Every community has an aspirational vision of who it wants to become.

But if we truly want to grow, we also have to be honest about where we are today.

Over the past several years, leaders across St. Joseph have come together through The Joseph Company to explore leadership, culture, identity, and the future of our city. We’ve heard the vision from community leaders. Now we want to hear from the people experiencing the culture every day.

This Community Culture Survey is designed to help us better understand the lived experience of people across St. Joseph.

Not the polished version.
Not the public relations version.
The real experience.

The assessment measures perceptions of leadership, trust, connection, encouragement, accountability, collaboration, growth, and overall community culture.

This is not about attacking organizations or individuals.
It’s not political.
And it’s not about assigning blame.

It’s about listening.
Learning.
And growing together.

Your honest feedback matters.

If we want to build a healthier, stronger, more connected community, we have to be willing to tell the truth about the culture we are currently experiencing.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to help shape the future of St. Joseph.

Over the past two days, 102 participants from 17 countries joined us for the 3D Vision Summit to explore vision, culture, leadership, and how to intentionally build toward our preferred vision in our teams, organizations, and communities.

If you missed it, you can still experience a similar introduction to the 3D Framework through our free online orientation course, Welcome to the 3D Journey.

Inside you’ll get a guided introduction to the 3D Journey along with sample training content from across the platform.

Five years ago, leaders from across the community came together to form The Joseph Company around an important question:

What kind of culture are we building together as a community?

Not the culture we market.
Not the culture we hope exists.
The culture people are truly experiencing.

After five years and contributions from more than 500 leaders across St. Joseph, we have begun defining the kind of culture we aspire to build together.

Now, we want to better understand where we are in our maturity toward that vision. That’s why we created the St. Joseph Community Culture Assessment.

This is not about assigning blame, criticizing organizations, or shaming leaders. It is a “blameless autopsy” designed to help us honestly understand both the strengths of our community and the gaps we still need to close together.

Your voice matters because your experience matters.

We are asking people across every sector of the community to take 5–7 minutes to answer 35 anonymous questions about the culture they personally experience within the environments where they live, work, serve, lead, and build relationships.

No names.
No required email addresses.
No individual responses shared publicly.

Only an honest picture of where we are.

The results will be shared publicly at The Joseph Company Breakfast 40 as we reflect on what kind of community we are becoming and how we can continue building a healthier future for St. Joseph.

We are asking all TJC , along with any other interested community members, to please add your voice to the conversation.

Thank you for helping us understand the truth about where we are so we can move together toward where we hope to go.

🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

The Joseph Company: Breakfast 40
From Imagination to Operation

For five years, we’ve gathered to imagine what could be.
Now it’s time to build it.

Join us on June 23 for a milestone moment as we celebrate the journey of The Joseph Company, reflect on the impact made across our community, and cast a bold vision for what comes next.

This will be our final community breakfast in the format we’ve known over the past five years. It will also serve as a launching point into a new era as Becoming St. Joseph: The City of Coaches continues to grow and move from imagination and exploration into implementation and operation.

We’ll share more about the road ahead, including the creation of new leadership development initiatives, the acceleration of the 3D Cohort model, and a growing vision that extends beyond St. Joseph to impact the region and ultimately communities across the country.

Breakfast 40 is not an ending. It’s a new beginning.
