🌲🎓 Meet our 2026-27 DTO Scholarship Recipient: Savannah White! 🎓🌲

Douglas Timber Operators is proud to support Savannah White as she attends Oregon State University, majoring in Wood Innovation for Sustainability, Science & Engineering. Savannah is also a member of OSU’s Honors College, Oregon Women in Timber, the International Forestry Students Association, and the Society of American Foresters.

Savannah chose this field because it combines her passion for research and sustainability, with a particular interest in the chemical and physical properties of wood-based materials and how engineered wood products can help address modern challenges.

We are excited to support Savannah as she combines problem-solving and creativity to explore innovative possibilities for the future of wood and our natural resource industry.

Congratulations, Savannah! We wish you continued success at Oregon State University! 🌲🦫

🌲🎓 Meet our 2026-27 DTO Scholarship Recipient: Macy Mornarich! 🎓🌲

Douglas Timber Operators is proud to support Macy Mornarich as she attends Oklahoma State University, majoring in Environmental Science with a concentration in Environmental Policy.

Macy’s studies have opened the door to exciting opportunities, including student leadership, clubs, and international study. Last summer, she spent three weeks studying at the Czech University of Agriculture in Prague, and she is currently exploring Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia through another study-abroad experience.

After completing her undergraduate degree, Macy plans to pursue a law degree and become a civil attorney, with the goal of representing agricultural and forestry communities and the people who make their living from the land.

We are proud to support Macy as she pursues her education and works toward a future where she can advocate for the communities that helped shape who she is today.

Congratulations, Macy! We wish you continued success on your journey! 🌲

🌲🎓 Meet our 2026-27 DTO Scholarship Recipient: Rowyn Miller! 🎓🌲

Douglas Timber Operators is proud to support Rowyn Miller as he attends Oregon State University, majoring in Forestry.

Rowyn grew up spending time in the mountains, and the 2020 Archie Creek Fire had a profound impact on his family and community. After seeing family members lose their homes and witnessing firsthand how quickly the landscape can change, Rowyn developed a strong appreciation for the importance of responsible forest management and the role it can play in protecting communities.

Rowyn hopes to build a career focused on protecting and managing forests and reducing the risk and impact of wildfires, helping ensure healthy forests and land for future generations.
Perhaps most meaningful, Rowyn will be the first person in his family in four generations to attend college.

His determination to turn life's challenges into motivation is an inspiration, and we are honored to support him as he begins this important chapter.

Congratulations, Rowyn! We are excited to see where your hard work and dedication take you. 🌲🦫
